I didn't get your name, so I'm going to call you Teemu.

Ok, Teemu, your entire basis for how great your country is comes from Newsweek, an American magazine. Do you think that it would be fair if Newsweek went the easy route and just put the US on top of the list? No. Everyone would just roll their eyes and assume they were biased (regardless of how accurate this judgment would be.) Now, say for instance a Finnish magazine...such as Nussiweekii created a list, do you think they would rank Finland on top? No, they can't possibly have that kind of biased ego. They'd just pick Sweden or Iceland or some other place where it's easy to be lazy and take advantage of the faltering welfare system.

Everyone has a list of places that are "great" to go on vacation to. It doesn't mean they'd want to live there. Believe me, when things get heavy, the best place for anybody to be is the good old USA. (Last time I checked people weren't beating down the door to immigrate to Finland. Any idea how many people we have to stop from climbing over fences and swimming across rivers everyday just to keep them out of Amer1ca?)

Regardless of your romantic opinion of your own country. Are you here to praise the Lord? Or are you just here to make one comment in defense of your own country?

I see you are neglecting the only thing that is actually important on this forum: YOUR BELIEF, FAITH AND TRUST IN THE LORD.

Spout all the statistics you want. How many of the people in question are non-believers, atheists, homogaysexuals, agnostics, Cathlicks, Joos etc. You don't think we are so naive as to not believe that America is crime ridden and in debt do you? Who runs the country? How many people attend a true Baptist church every week? We are a minority here on this forum. Does that mean our whole country is bad? No. It just means there are a lot of people out there that fail to recognize the one true message. Heck, we have parks bigger than Finland. And I personally do not know one single person who has ever committed a crime. I don't know anyone who has ever been raped. I do know, however, for a fact, that any grocery store in America puts any Scandinavian grocery store to shame. We are the land of plenty, where everyone can be the person they want to grow up to be.

I'm not sure about that...this is pretty damaging to Finland's reputation as being the finest place on earth. (And this is just one person we are judging.)
