You see, here is something showing your ignorance. Realizing and accepting responsibility for ones own actions IS what being a True Christian is all about. It IS all about looking at yourself and actually seeing and realizing your flaws for what they are. Praying for forgiveness and saying out loud what you have done wrong (rather than just "ignoring" it and letting those guilt pangs fester) is the responsible and healthy thing to do.

Well-read is not by being able to quote and entire book, but to reflect upon a wide variation of books discussing a subject. If you read the Holy Bible, the Khoran, writtings of Ase-religion, Wiccantry, Lutherans, and even writtings of Jehovas Witnesses. Most of them surprisingly refers to the same book; The Bible. But if you are able to reflect on all of these religions, THEN you are illuminated.

On a serious note; Because gaining point of views from different angles, allows you a much better overview, than just watching the scene from one point.

It is much like taking decisions from just hearing one. If you hear a hundred, you have a much better foundation of taking the right decision. No?
