I just wanted to tell you some facts first-hand rather than letting these rumors pass by uncommented - Holocaust is no fun, it took place with all it's unspeakable cruelness even though some Nazis regularily deny it.

If you want to see real evidence not just hearsay come over here, visit a concentration camp, talk to some survivors, see libaries full of letters documenting each and every person killed in these camps, or read a renowned book on that topic.

since I live in Germany as well (as I said in the introduction thread ) I thank you a lot for praising this country so much - yet I have to correct some things.
- Indeed socialism/communism is gone since 20 years (and was established only in 5 Federal States of the 16) - and nobody really wants it back so no problem with that
- Our chancellor and our president are both members of the Christian Union (CDU = Republican views) and not of the social-democrats (SPD = Democratic views). So another plus here I guess
- Holocaust did take place and did kill 6 Mio people, most of them "jews" (but be careful with that since you were considered a jew regardless of what you belief or whether you took part in their religious actions but only by lineage - so if your grandmother was jewish but you have never even seen a synagoge from 10 miles away you were put in a bathroom and toxic gas was pumped in for you to die painfully). And Hitler wasn't Christian, a considerable amount of Christians were killed too...
So it is a really sad chapter in our history which is fortunatelly over now and will hopefully never happen again (my grandparents al lots their families in that war)

I sure can't say what I would have done if I lived in that time, propaganda was strong and people believed and voted for Hitler (not all and maybe only in the beginning) - nevertheless war is always bad for the soldiers fighting in it and when it comes home knocking on your door ...

Nevertheless come feel free to come over to Germany we have some great architecture and love some tasty beer
