I am a proud Portuguese man in my forties. This thread came to me on my facebook and I was shocked!
I wasn’t shocked by the initial post,because I know that people like the author do exist, and normally I ignore such radical and ignorant opinions.
I was shocked because of three things:
1: There was no one to speak against this racist radical.
2: Some of the comments were even more racist than the original and were totally based on pure ignorance and evil.
3: This is a forum that is supposed to belong to a church?!
I suppose you folks are all Christians.
Now imagine Jesus Christ reading these comments!
Unlike you folks, I'm not going to label all the US citizens and culture based on this poor sample of extremely racist and ignorant people. I've been to the US and I know many of you Americans. I know that there are a lot a of good and bad people everywhere, so I don’t judge the forest by looking at only one tree.

Why are so many Portugueses trying to answer the low iq's minds here! Even physicists are here to repply these people! They only forget that every tip of knowledge they have is provided by all the other coutrys! Portuguese is a language that like allmost all the other european languages came from latin, yes latin a dead language! About the country itself we do not have hurricanes we do not have earthquakes, well we have from centuries to centuries, we do not have vulcanos. For living i prefer Portugal to almost any country in the world! Yes we have debt, you only forget that we could pay it, we have money for that - gold - but we cannot due to european laws of gold exchange.

About the food our variety of food is great and it does not arm the human health like MacDonnalds, about the night in lisbon, yes you must be carefull there, but not that carefull as in New York (i have been there). About the drug i don't believe it, about things to see in lisbon there are many things, you have only been redirected to one of the main sites, that actually is catholic, but there are others if you do a little research before you go!

And if you are a true critian just admit that you have a rude attitude and simply apologyze!
