Hi there everybody, just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents (or two pence, I'm British)

Firstly, from a purely neutral point of view, I don't think I've ever seen an argument where one side of the argument is pretty much just the occasional fact/question and the other side is full of completely illogical/borderline retarded points fuelled purely by a defunct belief system that is held so strongly it turns people who normally would presumably be perfectly nice, friendly and helpful into a bunch of supremely arrogant racists who use scripture that's thousands of years old and completely outdated to back up their nonsensical arguments.

At first when I read this thread I genuinely thought that it was a wind up, and all the posters were in on the joke but me, coming up with counter-points and arguments so moronic i couldn't believe it was real. Now i've realised it is real, and this truly depresses me. I'm an atheist and I'm 100% confident that there is nothing more to life than the brief few decades we get to spend on this planet. I'm studying hard at university, enjoying myself along the way, so I can have a comfortable life and raise some children and put them into a good school so they can enjoy their lives as well. As far as I'm concerned that's the be all and end all of the meaning of life, and you people are so convinced by a book written in times when no one knew anything about why sex leads to babies and how the sun rises each day. Back then it's perfectly acceptable to put faith into some all powerful being that controls everything, they didn't know any better, and along the way people dictating the guidelines of the religion (be they Pharoes or the guys who wrote the Bible) into a form that they hope everyone will follow to make the world a better place for them. You people are all so convinced by this book that you're wasting your life living it nowhere near the full potential that could be reached. Truly, you are the ones that need to be 'saved'.

If this all seems too much to read the short version is: You are all morons. It truly, deeply depresses me that there are people in this day and age so blinded by ancient words they hate without thinking. In my opinion, it is you who need to be 'saved' and have your eyes opened to the staggering fact that the fact that the world arose purely by chance and the beauty in that.

This gets my vote as the least thoughtful post ever in the history of the Landover Forums. Alastor, God keeps making new water for us. The only place in the US that is God is going to drive to ghost town status from the lack of water is the Sin capital of the world, Las Vegas.

The prayers of one Godly man are sufficient to keep the entire Earth free of rain for more than three years, and the prayers of the same Godly man can turn the faucet on once again:

There you have it--the prophet Elijah, seeing how devastating three-plus years without rain was, in an act of great compassion, asked God for rain and got it. Since there are more than 70,000 Godly men at Landover, I think we're pretty safe on the water score. Watch yourself, though, since we might shut the floodgates up there in Canuckistan if you keep attacking God.

12 feet you say? roads look clear to me. Oh, and the Oil is in the west. So is most of the arable land of the country. And the seaports of the west coast. And our west coast isn't threatened by a spider web of fault lines. And has cleaner air. And less violence.

Friend, it's good that you take pride in your country but let's be realistic. The only thing we'd have to maintain control over is that 800 mile strip between Windsor and Quebec City where 85% of your commerce is kept and administered. We could do that overnight swimming across the St. Lawerence.

The rest of that dump you call Canada is a frozen hell hole that we might use to warehouse terrorists.

Hi i'm new here, i was wondering. How come when i smoke weed with bible paper, it never works well. I mean the paper goes all in my eyes and shit and hurts. And worst of all, it wastes good weed. Or decent weed. Even the song books from the church don't work too well.

I did not bother to read the whole thread, I took the time though to read the original post and the first reply. Pretty angering for me as a Canadian to actually read stuff like this. It is pretty apauling that you people would think such things about our country. Now I am not preacher or church goer, but I do know what church is like as I used to be an avid church goer when I was younger. You people really do not have any idea of what Canada is, Canada is basically the states... But on a smaller scale with our population. We have more land mass mind you, but in the end we are not communists, never were and never will be. Our country was founded and same with yours, and guess what, In the end we are so much the same its not even funny.
