What IS this garden pest ? ?

It looks like an overgrown spider and has been eating my tulip bulbs.

I put out a few bear traps from the cellar, but the pest is either too small to set them off, or they crash fruitlessly over its head.

The suspense is driving me crazy. HOW DO I GET RID OF IT ? ? ?

It sure looks yummy. Shooting it would be best because then you can look at it more closely without all that tiresome running away. I'm fairly certain you could cook it and have a lovely meal.

Its gait doesn't look very steady, so I'm sure its diseased.

It might have eaten some of the poison I left out already?

Well in that case surely if it's eating your garden it's best to just shoot it or hit it with a shovel or something and throw it in the trash. Can't be too careful.

Good idea. I'm going to go sit in the garden with a heavy shovel, instead of just watching on the security camera. It's wiley and runs away from noises, though.

I hope it doesn't have sharp teeth.

I wish I could gas it from a distance or something...it's utterly ruined a patch of the walkway borders already. I was going to replace that section anyway, but once you give these pests a foothold, they just multiply like locusts.

Just step on it. It looks like a feral cat or something. That's what you do with them.

If you can't kill it outright at least you might get to break one of those puny legs. It will die within a week.
Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

It looks like a fawn. A baby deer. They tend to be shot.

                      Shooting them is big fun.

You take your gun, you aim...

                      BAM

                      Critter goes...

                      Biiiiii!

                      Works every time.
                      Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

                        Helpful hint.
A small bowl of water trends to attract these pests. It also tends to distract them so they ignore the sound of you chambering another round in your 30-06.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
