Oh, Lord, how long must we below suffer the BARBS of satan? Or the BARBIES of satan?

As a young girl, I was not permitted to own a Barbie since my father said the doll was distracting to his Christian experience. Instead, I owned other dolls, including ones Mother made for me with tasteful, Christian-like clothing. Mother taught me to pray with my dolls. Oh how I loved those days!

Now slut doll Barbie, named for satan's barbs, is on the cover of Sports Illustrated. This is but one more of the devil's attempts to lure young women to sin and perhaps even to become interested in sports instead of womanly pursuits.

Should we send our protests to Mattel? Pastor Zeke, have you ever seen the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated other than to lay hands on the women and pray for their salvation? Please offer us your advice. Sin is so pervasive and we must stand up for CHRIST in these Godless times. I think Landover should buy the magazine and begin featuring Christian modesty along with a change in focus. Running the race for God, climbing the mountains to reach Christ, and encouraging women to be women again.

I have never seen a copy of Sports Illustrated, Swimsuit edition at Pastor Zekes. Only 'Boys Life' and some sort of hunting magazine called 'Bears and Cubs'.

You know, it used to be, that Barbie was the symbol of everything that a True Christian(tm) woman should be: a pretty housewife, or at least a woman with female-appropriate jobs: a nurse, a secretary, a flight attendant... later things have changed, and now Barbie is represented taking over manly occupations. It is very, very sad.
