I don't like to disagree with my True Christian Brothers and Sisters, but I have to say, there are some topics I'm just uncomfortable with...like minimizing Mr. Swayze's career.

You're all forgetting he started out in rousing patriotic movies like Red Dawn (1984) and Uncommon Valor (1983). After that, he played another fine soldier in the TV miniseries North and South...BOTH Books I and II. So his intentions were obviously good in the beginning. "Hollyweird" just got him in the end.

So no jokes, please.

I'll always remember him as he was, in that beloved poster that adorned my bedroom wall as a starry-eyed teen, when I was going through my horse period.

(I'm sorry to be huffy, but this topic makes me really emotional.)

It was bad enough when gas prices got high and "people" were dissing on - and even getting rid of - our Goldly SUVs. Thank Heaven that the SUV has made a comeback on the market now that gasoline prices are again lower; I just Hate to have to drive on the road with those little ant-like cars and trucks!

Sweet Sister Sue, let's do some sidetracking and swap recipes!

Chocolate Mug Cake

1 Large coffee mug
4 Tablespoons flour
4 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoon oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well, add egg and mix thoroughly. pour in milk. stirring chocolate chips.
place mug in microwave and cook 3 minutes on high. Cake will rise over the top of mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool, and tip out on to a plate. Serves 2

I made this , it was good, I served it with a dollop of cool whip, As it says, don't worry when it rises above the top, it will go a couple inches above the top. Also, this is an excellent thing to make for just one person while you hubby is out killing turkeys!
