  • Woman suspected of witchcraft burned alive.

It would seem Pastor Gargalo is alive and well, and still doing the Lord's work in PNG. Praise!

A woman in rural Papua New Guinea was bound and gagged, tied to a log and set ablaze on a pile of tires this week, possibly because villagers suspected her of being a witch, police said Thursday.

Her death adds to a growing list of men and women who have been accused of sorcery and then tortured or killed in the South Pacific island nation, where traditional beliefs hold sway in many regions.

The victims are often scapegoats for someone else's unexplained death -- and bands of tribesmen collude to mete out justice to them for their supposed magical powers, police said.

"We have had quite difficulties in a number of previous incidents convincing people to come forward with information," said Simon Kauba, assistant commissioner of police and commander of the Highlands region, where the killing occurred.

"We are trying to persuade them to help. Somebody lost their mother or daughter or sister Tuesday morning."

Early Tuesday morning, a group of people dragged the woman, believed to be in her late teens to early 20s, to a dumping ground outside the city of Mount Hagen. They stripped her naked, bound her hands and legs, stuffed a cloth in her mouth, tied her to a log and set her on fire, Mauba said.

"When the people living nearby went to the dump site to investigate what caused the fire, they found a human being burning in the flames," he said. "It was ugly."

It gladdens my True Christian(tm) heart to see the good Pastor is continuing his "Extreme Ministering" where these Heathens are concerned, Mrs Rogers.

    This from the article:
In recent years, as AIDS has taken a toll in the nation of 6.7 million people, villagers have blamed suspected witches -- and not the virus -- for the deaths.
I think there is still much work to be done over there, they not only have an outbreak of Witches but also Homerism.
There is nothing worse than seeing Witches Sodomizing each other whilst sacrificing children.

Only Satan could give them the ability to perform such gruesome multi-tasking! Talitha, I suspect these particular witches are the worst sort of 'superwoman' feminazis; the "we can do everything" type.

I read about this yesterday but didn't post anything about it because I wasn't sure if anyone really cared about another dead pygmy.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Re: Woman suspected of witchcraft burned alive.

I am always disappointed to see the anti-Christian reporting of the international media; you would have thought that the white man in charge of the jigaboos reporters would have picked this up:
A woman in rural Papua New Guinea was bound and gagged, tied to a log and set ablaze on a pile of tires this week, possibly because villagers suspected her of being a witch, police said Thursday.
God is quite clear, it is witches, not suspected witches who are to be burned.

This woman was clearly a witch, who infected babies with AIDS, otherwise she’d be alive today.

A little more accuracy next time Mr Editor!

It's good the village Men are in charge of this. If it were left to we women, who can let emotion cloud our thoughts, the situation could quickly spiral out of control.

Wow, Mistress Cookie, I gotta hand it to you... You must be the single most humble person on the face of the earth, if you can be that much of a self-hating woman. You know who you remind me of? Lady Macbeth, when she insisted she wasn't man enough to kill Duncan because she was a woman. Look at that, you even made the word "women" smaller than all the other words...

Can you tell me what Cookie has said that contradicts Scripture? I'd hate to think that someone with the user name TrulyTolerant was truly intolerant of Biblically correct True Christian™ womanhood.

I’m not at all sure what you are getting at here. I saw Mistress Cookie’s comments as more than helpful in getting to the bottom of this report, which, if true, would tend to indicate a spontaneous development of True Christianity™

From personal experience (Mrs. Bathfire) I can tell you that women have developed a fine intuition as a result of 6,000 years of not thinking.

Feminine intuition helps women fulfill their God-ordained role as helps meet for men by allowing them to meet our needs without a whole lot of back talk.
