    National Day of Prayer Unconstitutional

Today a Federal Judge ruled that the National Day of Prayer, declared by Presidents since way back when, is unconstitutional.

What?? The Founding Fathers, who wrote the Consititution, were holy men who intended that the United State of America be a Christian nation!! They did not intend for this country to be a Godless, homo socialist nation like those in Europe.

On top of this, prayer days are wonderful opportunities for our political leaders to point citizens toward worthy and Godly lives. Our wonderful President, George W. Bush, made public appearances praying each National Prayer Day.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

They will have to pry my cold dead hands apart on National Prayer Day to keep me from praying!!!!

Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

They're not trying to stop you from praying.

America is founded on the principle of freedom of religion, not Christianity, (check out the Constitution, its a good read.)
Romans 13:8-10: Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law...if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

And on National Prayer day you are free to pray in whatever manner you feel like.

Shouldn't every day be National Prayer Day?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Re: National Day of Prayer Unconstitutional

This is ridiculous. I've been on the force for almost 30 years, and I think I probably know a little more about the law than this liberal activist judge.

Nowhere, absolutely nowhere in the Constitution does it mention "National Day of Prayer" so how can he say it's unconstitutional?

You are right, Petal. Mr. Perkins just runs right over that evil Hitchens.

When Mr. Perkins points out that National Prayer Day is constitutional because Presidents have always prayed, that ends the debate.

Pointing out that NPD is constitutional because Presidents have always prayed does not end the debate, it actually proves nothing at all.

I am not even American and can point out that in the United States, freedom of religion is a constitutionally guaranteed right provided in the religion clauses of the First Amendment.
