Re: Tipping your waiter for good service.

When the service it good I tip, when it sucks I don't tip. Simple as that.

Getting tips always feels good, certainly when your pay isn't the greatest. I know what I talking about, I drove a cab for 3 years and if you don't get tips it's not worth doing the job to begin with. At least the government doesn't run away with half of your tip money. BTW, Americans are in general good tippers but on the other side, *racial slur deleted* don't tip for shit.

The last waiter I had serviced me very poorly, indeed! He did not get a dime of a tip out of me!

I believe the word you want is "served" not "serviced." A waiter serves, a gigolo services.
Now that I think about it, perhaps you used the correct word after all.

I received this response from Mr. Stone at Turtle Tip:

              Mr. King -

Maybe this email will contain the answers you're requesting....

We call the sticker cards TurtlePacks (see attached photo). A TurtlePack is a small book containing 15 stickers and it's about the size of a credit card. We charge $3.45 on our website, and $2.00 for each additional TurtlePack.

If you order, for example, 3000 TurtlePacks, we can supply them for $1.75 each. You could distribute them to your members for, example, $5.00 each and tell folks the difference goes to your Church general fund. That would be a great way to quickly raise $9,750.00 for your Church and you could instruct folks to also make thier with held restaurant tip donations to your Church rather than the charities listed on TurtleTip.com.

Please let me know if you have quesitons.

              Best,
              Stone
Seems like quite an initial investment for some stickers, although the concept is good. Does anyone think we should take advantage of this offer?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

The custom of tipping has gotten totally out of hand. This is a video about a couple who were arrested when they refused to tip their waiter for poor service. They should have had some tip cards!

Pardon my slowness in responding Brother Nobar but I just read this.

I agree The Turtle Tips do sound like a good idea Brother Nobar, but as a reward for good service instead of a punishment. The waiter gives you good service, give them a Turtle Tip and show them you have paid the 20% gratuity as a tithe to Landover in their name! Instead of getting a free handout the waiter will waste on drunks, booze, food and other self indulgences they get to thank Jesus for rewarding them with a terrific job.

                    Win, win situation all around.

Once Sarah Palin takes office in 2012 and we can get the Holy KJV Bible installed as the law of the land, they'll be arrested for entering a place like that, not leaving it.

Whenever I dine out, I always leave three Chick Tracts in lieu of a monetary tip -- one for the waitress, one for the busboy, and one for the cook.

                          Amen, Pastor!

When I was a lowly waiter working for cruel masters who forced me to work Sundays or lose my job (I went to Church at night still and repented), I had patrons who would leave me Chick Tracts as a tip.

How could I forget when their large group would come in to eat with their small children? They would feed their darling little Soldiers for Christ® Cheerios which approximately half would make it into the demonspawn sweet babies' mouths. The rest would fall all over the floor.

After the first time that Godly group (shout glory) left me Chick Tracts as a tip, I was so incredibly inspired, I shared them with the owner, the bartender, the cooks and the fellow waitstaff.

The following week, they came back. God bless them. Javier told me something about gusanos en la salsa. I'm guessing that meant maggots. Thank the LORD we threw it away before our TC™ patrons could be served such nastiness.

We had the busboy wash their teaspoons like a moyle finishing a briss. He seemed rather feverish and clammy that day. I'm sure it was just the Holy Spirit and anticipation of such an august group of True Christian Independent Baptists.

I can tell you, I and all the waitstaff were parched from all the good service we gave them that day!

Their bill that week, approx $35 (1992). My tip. $1.88. Praise His holy name!
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

i actually am a waitress and although I do get paid by the restaurant, it is only $3.25 an hour because the servers are expected to make money off of tips.

Waiters and waitresses are paid what they are worth.

If the owner deems you are worth $3.50/hour, be happy it it is not $2.50/hour. You need to thank God you are working at all and that a fellow Christian was willing to give you their money to spend on debauchery. If you have made a patron very happy, pray they add a tip. If they do not add one, then it is up to you to resolve what you did wrong. Remember, the customer is always right and God is always watching you..

Sometimes if you give the host a dollar they'll give you a good section or seat you early. This is a case where your tip can actually get you better service.
