  • Rick Perry Gives Credit Where It's Due: Thanks God for Not Making Tornadoes Worse

If there is any regret that continues to gnaw at my heart, it is that Godly Rick Perry is no longer seeking to replace the Kenyan usurper this November. Following this week's tornadoes which ripped through the Dallas area, the True Christian(tm) Governor of Texas used the occasion to give thanks to the LORD:

Amen to that. I have relatives in Dallas, and they too are also thanking God for just sending them tornadoes as a wake-up call rather than unleashing the full brunt of His righteous fury against them.

    I Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

When the LORD gives us a pleasant day with nice weather, we give Him thanks. When the LORD sends us tornadoes, we thank Him for not sending worse. When the LORD strikes us with lightning or sends us cancer of the marrow, we continue to thank Him for calling us home. God gave us lips with which to praise Him and knees with which to bend, grovelling at His feet, castigating ourselves for being entirely unworthy of His sweet tendermercies, yet thanking Him for giving us a chance at redemption through the Blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.

It is refreshing that at least one politician in this country isn't ashamed to admit that we are all putrid sinners who should grovel at the LORD's feet when He sends us tornadoes, since He could have done much worse to us.
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

Shout Glory Brother! That is so well put. Only True Christians™ understand that God does everything He does out of love for His Saved© children.

Most unsaved scum, whenever the Lord tests them by killing their children or burning down their house say something stupid like "I never expected anything like this to happen to me!" Why the heck not? Sinners that have rejected Jesus' gift of salvation through His temporary sacrifice of Himself to Himself should EXPECT to be punished or tested by God 24/7/365!

I'm sure those sinners in Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding cities were like "Wait, what!?!" when God started righteously raining fire and brimstone down on them too!

    24Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

27And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

28And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

29And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
    Genesis 19:24-29
For those of you out there in places where God drops a twister, breaks a dam, collapses a coal mine, or slams with an avalanche, just be glad He was in a good mood that day and that He didn't decide to level the entire area with fire and meteors like He did to those fornicators mentioned above! Praise!

Why, this just warms my heart, bringing back memories of when a tornado hit Clarksville, Tennessee some years back and caused so much damage. Tipper Gore, the Vice-President's Wife, Thanked God that it wasn't even worse. Proving that some demonrats DO Believe in God

My aunt was in an automobile accident years ago that left her entirely paralyzed from the neck down, mostly deaf, blind in one eye and with scars from 3rd degree burns all over her body.

We were never sure what she did to upset GOD, but she spent the last 23 years of her life in her bed being fed with a tube and having her diaper changed, all the while praising JESUS that the accident had not been worse and that she was still alive to praise His Holy Name!

I am glad to see that good old fashioned Christian faith is still alive in Texas!

That wonderful story reminds me of the necrotizing fasciitis infection which claimed my penis and testicles that the Lord so righteously smote me with during my Ex-Gay© Aversion Surgery recovery period. He was just letting me know how angry my choosing to be a filthy sodomite had made Him.

Every time I urinate through my surgically rerouted urethra, I gaze upon my hideously scarred and barren pubic area and I thank God that He chose not to kill me for offending Him. By actively deciding to be a disgusting queer, I was practically begging for God to strike me down. I am a living, breathing example of His infinite patience and boundless mercy! Glory!

She is an inspiration to us all.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

This lack of understanding "we deserved much worse" is the real problem with sociaty today. Children aren't given a proper Christian education anymore thanks to the Moonbat lieberals. Only when a child's bleeding body is locked over night in a bar cold closet will that child understand the importance of appreciating God's mercy.

It's a miracle all those people survived. I want to get on my knees and thank Him for not killing more people.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Thank God for Rick Perry! It is so often that we overlook the true power of the Lord's anger, so that sometimes we fail to appreciate how power it could have been. For those looking for an easy comparison, just think: it could have been another Katrina! And it wasn't! So thank God for that, am I right? Truly, His mercy knows no bounds.
