  • Latest Video Game Banned in Freehold: Left 4 Dead

As a True Christian Officer of the Law, I often have my hands full putting the sinners away and keeping this town safe, and now I have the added burden of maintaining our list of banned video games.

I was in Wal-Mart last night trying to find some anti-chaffing cream and I wandered into the electronics by accident.

I noticed a particularly gruesome video game on the shelves called "Left 4 Dead." And right next to it was "Left 4 Dead 2"

I immediately seized the material and began to study the back of the cover.

These games are apparently about pitting four players against enormous hordes of zombies.

It hasn't taken me very much research to make a decision. (I can't imagine how difficult these things would be if I weren't a Christian.)

"Left 4 Dead" is entirely about making a mockery of Jesus Christ our Savior.

We know that the only true walking-dead that ever walked was Jesus Christ, and those who He also raised from the dead.

This game features THOUSANDS of zombies and not ONCE is it EVER indicated that Jesus raised a single one of them!

And even then you're supposed to KILL them again, after God went to the trouble of resurrecting them!

Everything in the game is littered with graffiti and vandalism, insinuating that if most of the world's population turned into flesh hungry zombies, Godly Law Enforcement wouldn't be able to keep order.

And LOOK what kind of graffiti our kids are seeing when they play this game:

"For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth."

    Such disrespect for our beliefs!

This game and its sequels are BANNED in Freehold. If any of your kids own this game, hand it over to me. I won't stand idly by as people attempt to survive something without the help of Jesus.

My good sir, why ban the best damn horror survival game (nowadays)?

THE REASON why the streets have rubbish on them is because of the CRAZIED zombies, not disrespect. and that graffi, by an almost insane zombie.
So, if you don't like it, slience yourself.

BTW this fails by over 9000.

Re: Latest Video Game Banned in Freehold: Left 4 Dead

Frankly, I think it would be easier if we just put a moratorium on all video games in Freehold. Seems like every month, they release some kind of disgusting, immoral video game that we end up having to ban. I pushed for the bans on Oblivion and Fallout 3, and don't even get me started all those perverted Super Mario games!

But, with this game, it is indeed a mockery. The Bible tells us that the dead will rise from their graves...

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

However, this is game is not set in a Biblical context. Where are the four horsemen, the seven seals, and New Jerusalem? No, this is more akin to necromancy, the pagan/Satanic practice of resurrecting the dead via black magic.

This game is disgustingly violent and promotes witchcraft. How many kids will start reading Aleister Crowley or watch Twilight and start trying to raise the dead using ritualistic black magic? No Christian parent would allow their children to even look at the cover box!

Leviticus 20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
Deuteronomy 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

We need to put a stop to these pagans mocking God and encouraging children to take up witchcraft!

I've spent all evening looking at pictures of this game. It is truly horrifying that this is being marketed to our children!

Here we see a mockery made of Christ's blood, as it is carelessly spattered all over the screen:

However, extensive research and prayer (mostly prayer, praise Him), have led me to conclude this game is a recruiting tool for necrophiliacs. That's right.

Most if not all of the zombies in this game are scantily dressed and are basically there to entice young boys to engage in sexual relations with corpses.

            Observe:

This abomination is called a witch apparently, and is not only a plug for necrophilia but witchcraft as well, which the Bible specifically condemns:

Notice this zombie shamefully exposing her midsection. I can promise you that most young men had never seen this much of a woman revealed prior to buying this game.

Let's face it. Sex sells. And this thing's only purpose is to rape players over and over:

Finally I've attached an image I found and saved to my computer so that I can be reminded daily how offensive this game is. This really says it all:

"Hey kids, kill policemen and military officials!"

Valve software is raising a generation of domestic terrorists!

Rev. Jim, your desires are commendable but there are hidden issues to issuing a ban on ALL video games.

Doing so might inadvertently criminalize innocent Bible games and Landover Baptist Bible Quizzes.

So instead we have to handle things on a case-by-case basis, or more practically, based on what company is making the games.

I would have no issues banning all Bethesda games for instance, but that's in the works right now and there's only so much a dutiful Officer of the Law such as myself can do.

I'll save you some time Mr. Richards...you might as well ban the following games:

Brutal Legend - the whole game is about rock and roll
Dragon Age Origins - magic, witchcraft
Dead Space - game takes place in space, killing aliens
Red Faction Guerrilla - whole game takes place on mars
Mass Effect 1/2 - game takes place on different planets
                    Fable 2 - magic, witchcraft
Lost Planet 1/2 - takes place on another planet with monsters

I could add a bunch more but I don't think I'm going to be taken seriously anyway so I'll stop there...

                      That's a good start.
I won't be happy until they are all banned. I remember a simpler time in America when the kids had to go outside and play games together for entertainment.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Good luck with that! haha! children shouldnt be playing 18 rated games anyway so if anyones to blame for the kids playing the games its the parents.

plus as i've said millions of times to many people. violent games dont cause violence.

if we look at it from your perspective; if games did cause violence and murder then all those thousands of violent games would have corrupted the entire world and everyone would have been murdered by now. correct?

I always thought of zombie stories as a warning of what could happen if mankind takes their pursuit of scientific knowledge too far.

To clarify, the zombies in the game were not dead men brought back to life, they were live humans who were twisted and corrupted thanks to a medical "vaccine" gone horribly wrong.

Regardless of this, witnessing the game in action is truly terrifying and not suitable for those under the age of eighteen. This is why the game is given an "M" rating, which means that someone under that age cannot purchase it legally.
