Hi everyone, hope you're all having a nice evening

I was raised Catholic but it no longer has very much meaning for me, so I'm searching...
Really interesting forum, I've been lurking and reading for a while now - glad to finally be a part of it!

So you finally saw through the nonsense of the cracker munching and blood drinking?

What is it about True Christianity(tm) that struck you as instantly more plausible and true? I'm always interested to know which bit of the King James Bible showed you just how real God is.

I am always so pleased when another soul leaves the whore of Babylon and finds real Christianity! I welcome you as yet another soul rescued from the ring kissers and statue-worshippers. Doesn't it feel good to walk away from lies into the light of Christ's love?

Please share with us your journey home to Jesus. Instead of relying on priests that long to hear your sordid stories of sin, you now may boldly approach the throne of grace, bypassing Mary and going directly to the source of our Salvation(R), Jesus the Living Christ! Hallelujah! Glory!

Do not hesitate to seek guidance from the pastors of Landover. I have found each one to be a shining beacon of knowledge, truth, and Christian love.

          COME, Lord Jesus!

                Re: Hi everyone!

Hi again everyone, wow, you're all so friendly!!!
I don't know where to begin answering all your questions, thanks so much for all the replies
To start in reverse order, I'm 32 years old and newly single, just out of a nine year marriage, which I suppose is probably why I'm questioning anything and everything about my life!! I don't have a church that I attend regularly - I haven't really found anywhere that feels like a fit since I moved away from Catholicism. So I'm very much in a place where I'm trying to learn and explore and just find that fit....
I envy all of you your certainty. I think that's what draws me here more than anything.
Thanks again for all the replies

Did you suffer sexual abuse during your membership in the roman "church"? You're not alone. If you want to talk about it, we're here to listen. Welcome!
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division - Luke 12:51

I agree that we are thirsty to learn of the abuse you have suffered. Also, we have heard that some Roman priests are interested in women. Is that true? Have they taken liberties? The details, please.

How did you find Jesus among the idol worshippers?

                            Carrie dear,

I am happy to meet you! I hope that the Romans didn't get you too bad, and your ex-husband will burn in hell for not being a loving leader in your marriage. Maybe you can find someone. But do beware, Brother Faith Machine is undergoing a challenging period of his life; see his signature. Brother, I'm praying for you and keep heart, the Lord is good and can do all things!
