what if a wife is raped and she becomes pregnant aswell(and this woman was dressed well but was raped because tha man is schizophrenic) what happens then to the man? he cant marry her cause she is already married...what happens...is her husband going to divorce her?(impossible you can't)
and what about deteronomy 22:13-21 if she is not a virgin and not married would you stone her to death? off course not we live in the 21th century and we'll go to jail...so what happens to the girl??

Any scripture that says such horrible things shouldn't be legal. It's putting innocent victims into a horrible position. Any parent who loves their child would never EVER force that upon their child. Dispicable.

Any parent who loves their child would never EVER force that upon their child.

Any parent who loves their child will follow the Bible. Because otherwise both the parent and the child go to hell.

Friends,

I recently received a letter from a concerned parent. In the letter she told me that her daughter had been raped, but was refusing to marry her rapist as per Deuteronomy 22:28-29. The stupid girl actually wants to press charges on the man!

Not only that, but that she also plans to kill the poor unborn baby her rapist had given her! Sickening! Have young people today got NO morals?

Any and all advice on what I can say to convince this girl to do the right thing would be great. Should I start with the basics ?

"Whore, you'll burn in Hell for all eternity - unless you marry your rapist"??

Or should I go for a more subtle approach??

Its my guess that you have not taken the time to read the thread. Yes she should marry the man, she had sex while she was not married. How do you expect her to find a husband if she is used goods. Or will you have her go to Hell for sinning? Do you think her father should have to pay for not having a virgin for a daughter, that is not fair now is it?

but it is not in any way at all her fault...you act like she took off her skirt and layed in the middle of the street with her legs wide open saying "come on in"...she didnt ask for it....it was forced upon her....

soo answer me this scenario:

Quite to the contrary, a recent scientific study proved beyond doubt that the Bible is four times more focused on punishment and sin and death than it is on love. I would bet that if those same "Christians" would simply crack open a copy of the Bible, they would see what True Christianity™ is all about. I would be willing to bet that 99% of them would become atheists because they would think that doing what God ACTUALLY tells them to do in the Bible is too inconvenient or too much of an intrusion on their lifestyles.
