Brother Enoch, we warned the eskimos that drilling into Hell and releasing the stench from Satan's backside was not a good idea. We told them God would wipe them out. Don't be an idiot. God is responsible for volcanic eruptions, and all other such punishments. The Bible says so.

It´s a lot safer and in fact no people were ever really in danger - not yet...

BUT!

It could trigger Katla (wich is supposedly the doorway to hell, or so they said in the middle ages and I´m sure you agree) to erupt and that would have very dire consequences for a lot of countries all over the globe. Iceland could get off lightly in fact if she was to go BANG! But who knows, it´s all up to God and people here are saying that they would like to get a little more excitement out of it... we are expecting it and have been for years and years. If it turns out to be as little a thing as the current eruption then it will be a bit of an anti-climax. But ofcourse we are mostly good people who don´t want anyone to get hurt, no matter where in the world they live

A fun fact for you americans is this though: the only ones that have lost out on this Eyjafallajökuls-thing is your army. At least 14 jets filled with soldiers on their way to Iraq to kill women and children had to turn back and postpone their journey because they couldn´t fly over the smoke

And as we write, Iceland is getting bigger. There is a whole new mountain rising out of the lava, it´s reached about 100m and it´s still growing.

No, we are sure God Hates Iceland, and one of the reasons is they don't speak American. God does not like gibberish, that's why the Bible is written in American. Come to think of it God is not real fond of the UK either.
