  • Should we sell our trash to third world countries?

Garbage picking, in most third world countries, is a thriving industry. Seems to me that it's also an unexplored opportunity at a profitable Amercian venture.

Think about it, right now they pick through their own garbage. Could you imagine their delight if we offered to sell them United States garbage to scavenge? They'd be over the moon.

The way I see it, it's a win-win situation for all involved. America gets rid of it's trash and picks up a few bucks; the country that gets the trash increases employment. Everybody's happy.

We could even offer a "just pay for the shipping" option to the poorest countries to appease any irrational lieberal that accuses us of wrongdoing. It would also get us a healthy tax receipt.

Seems like a no-brainer to me and would also provide some much needed American PR in those shitholes. I say we look into it.

Well, I've always heard "one man's trash is another's treasure". And I feel it's the least we can do to help less Godly nations. I know those liberals are probably trying to convince folks that there's something wrong with paying a modest fee to deposit our valuable mixtures of chemicals and unwanted stuff, but imagine what those poor people can do with an empty bottle of Pine-sol, a crumbling laundry basket, and some weed killer! Next thing you know, they'll be making placemats out of the stuff and selling them at Pier 1 Imports! ANTICIPATING SHOPPER, GLENDORA

Looks like some pretty valuable stuff in there. Those wetbacks could probably make a few pesos selling the rotten food they find to taco carts.

I agree, this would be a fine example of Christian charity. I could put together a box of electronic gear (cell phones, microwaves, old computers) that I was just going to toss to the curb anyway and send it over to those folks. With a little imagination, just think what they could do with items like these!

I would have inserted the actual images here, but I don't know how to do that; perhaps someone could help?

Mark 16:17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My Name they will drive out demons.

                • “Necessity is the mother of invention.”
                • “Hard work never hurt anyone”
                • “Invent a new mousetrap and the world will make a dash for your door.”
Now, it is clear that inventions make money.

Based upon this simple but irrefutable logic, the export of such waste as plutonium, bio-hazard materials and toxic chemicals would have the greatest impact – the people in the 3rd world would, of necessity, have to do some hard work and start inventing ways of dealing with this stuff.

Initially, of course there would be those who would oppose this great boon for their typical selfish reasons. (Strangely enough, they are usually the ones that moan about burying the stuff here.) To get round this, the waste would be labelled “Emergency Medical Relief” or “Famine Supplies” and transhipped to remote regions in the recipient countries. Once these became full, places nearer towns could be used, e.g. schools, hospitals, water reservoirs. It is all too easy to suborned or bribe local leaders with offers of old Commadore computers, etc.

I see this as Godly tough love as in Ex:9:14: For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth. Now God did this to change Pharaoh’s mind about the Israelites and succeeded. In a similar compassionate way and in our hearts, we will be doing this to change the lazy ways of the 3rd world and have them release themselves from the bondage of poverty.

Thus (i) we will improve third world industry, (ii) we will show the errors of corrupt officials and (iii) their economy and society will grow strong. So much so, that the results will sling-shot them, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century.

In return, I see overwhelming gratitude and this is the time at which we will be able to bring the message of the True Christian™ to them.

I think the real question is would those toilet countries APPRECIATE our trash? I mean sure, they'd love to have our garbage for dinner and for shelter. What scumbly nation wouldn't? But would we be thanked for it?

Most other countries aren't as grateful as we are here in America.
