Secondly, obviously your bible quote is accurate but I believe all scripture should be approached with common sense. If you believe that women who wear any piece of clothing which even remotely resembles something a man would wear (and vise versa) then I urge you to access the uncrazy side of your brain for a minute. I think YOUR definition of "that which pertaineth unto a [man/woman]" is askew. According to your definition, you would be perfectly willing to wear a pair women's suit pants, since they "pertaineth unto a man" by your own admission. I suspect this isn't the case and that should prove my point since, I am sure, you are perfectly capable of sound reason.

You have to be able to read and understand the words. There's no secrets hidden. God doesn't say one thing and mean another. If he says something is an abomination, it's an abomination!

My scripture excerpt there was not pertaining to "reason" (common sense) so I'm not sure I follow what relation one has to the other. You may choose to embrace hate and assume I am not in the will of God because I choose to exercise the gift of reason given to me by God, there's nothing I can do to stop you from doing that. I don't really think you are honestly considering my comments but, instead dismissing them off-hand, which is your prerogative but I think it is to your own detriment.

I read and understand the words... Since you cannot point out where pants are specifically forbidden (which is the assertion of the OP), we have to rely on reason to determine what scripture says… You say pants are men's clothing. I am going to assume clothing styles are dependent on the times in which you are living… Otherwise we would all be required to wear what was worn in OT times. Feel free to disagree if you’d like. Proceeding on the assumption that fashion is dependent on the age in which you live (always considering modesty, a virtue all too often forgotten) then I put forth the assertion that clothing which was designed for men should only be worn by men and clothing which was designed for women should only be worn by women. However, women’s pants (pants designed specifically to be worn by women) would not be appropriate for men because they were designed to be worn by women. And the inverse is, of course, true. Pants are specifically designed to be worn by women to accommodate the differences in anatomy of the sexes.

Stepping out of the debate… I would agree that a man who dresses in women’s clothing (including a man who wears a woman’s pants) is forbidden. If we’re discussing what this particular scripture addresses, I challenge you put forth scriptural evidence to support the proposition that pants are strictly men’s clothing any more than shoes. Both are designed specifically with the intended sex in mind.
