  • Why It Is Necessary to Capitalize "God" and Why this Means That American Is the Best Language for Worship?

Unsaved trash often fail to use the correct polite form of address to God and Jesus. They are idle sluggards (Proverbs 6:6) that don't want to bothered with the "shift" key of the keyboard to type Capital Letters into the Sweet Names of Jesus and His Dad. In addition, it is common practise to capitalize the principal enemies of the Lord, Satan and Mrs. Clinton as well as other proper nouns. Why do we do this? It is a simple quostion of reverence, of honoring our Lord God! Unless we constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Praise Him, He might smite us. That would not be nice.

    1 Samuel 2:30
'Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour , and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

OK. This establishes that it is absolutely necessary to use Capital Letters for God and Jesus. From whence does this come from and what are the nations that provide the best practice? Obviously, the best format is the American one preserved in the glorious King James Version.

We can also easily establish that many nations and languages fail miserably. They are intrinsically incapable of capitalizing God or Jesus. Let us start with the Ornamental, Asiatic tongues! They dishonor God because they have no capital letters whatsoever! If we look at the words for "God" in these languages, we can see that there is no Capitalization, and God and Jesus are treated as if they were dung, the material that Indians revere as much as they insult Jesus.
    • Chinese and Japanese:神
    • Hindi:परमेश्वर
    • Urdu:خدا

Languages of the Middle East are as abominable. Both Hebrew and Arabic lack capital letters, as well. No wonder God decided to punish the Hebrew Jews by choosing them as His tool when it was time to Redeem Good True Christians™ by sacrificing Himself as Jesus. The Jews had to do it and they they deserved their punishment as they did not honor our Lord with Capitalization!
    • Hebrew:אלוהים
    • Arabic:الله

Now it is time to move on to European languages, derivatives of the confusion of Babel of the Indo-European stock (Genesis 11:9). Many people might think that as the Carolingian minuscule was invented by Charlemagne who spoke a form of Vulgar Latin called Early French, God would regard favorably Bibles in these vernaculars. He does not. It was the Catholic cult that influenced the otherwise manly demeanor of Charlemagne, so his use of small case or Capital Letters could not save him. Similarly, all texts written in Romance dialects of Vulgar Latin, such as Rumantsh, Romanian, Portuguese, or Occitan, are by definition doomed. Equally useless are the Slavic languages. They are of the Satem type of Indo-European Babelian confusion (Genesis 11:9) and very closely related to Indo-Iranian tongues, and by doing a quick investigation of pictorial material, we can see how the Greek Orthodox Church is in fact just a form of the Hindu Heresy.

While the Romance and Slavic tongues do use Capitalization, they are still unfit to spread the Gospel. It all comes down to Germanic tongues, of which Glorious American is the prime Example. Perhaps other Germanic languages fare as well? They do not. Let us look at the German Bible. Be warned, it is not pretty!

The silly Germans Capitalize not only proper nouns but also common nouns. For them, a boat (das Boot) is as honorable as Jesus (also Jesus in German) or the Lord (Herr). If you look at the image carefully, you can also see how the Germans mix lewd vocabulary, such as "sodass", with Jesus and God. German is, thus, unsuitable for Spiritual growth. Dutch? They are all either constantly high on drugs or doing self-abuse to windmill pictures. The Scandinavians? They only use their languages to produce one hardcore porn feature after another. And that's it! All languages of the World have been covered.

Only American uses proper Capitalization. Only American is suitable to transmit God's Word. It is quite likely that Salvation™ is not possible unless a foreigner learns to read the proper KJV in American. Only by using this most beautiful of tongues, can we honor Jesus the way He wanted. Let us look at a picture of KJV 1611. Proper capitalization. God is happy.

    Yours in Christ,

While not observed in the KJV, the American language (and English, which most Theolinguists agree began to diverge from American about 400 years ago) adopted reverential capitalisation of divine pronouns in the 19th century. Thou/ Thee/ Thine and He/ Him/ His ought to be capitalised when referring to God. One must never use neuter or feminine pronouns to refer to God (it/ she). Atheists are always harping on about how we must respect transgendered people's preferred pronouns. But how about we respect God's preferred pronouns?

Each Person of the Trinity (note the caps) is entitled to reverential capitalisation: Father, Son (or Word), and Holy Spirit/ Ghost.

1 Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

All of God's titles and styles are to be hallowed with the shift key.

Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Is 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Needless to say, Christ and its derivations must be capitalised -- Christian and Christmas (never xian and xmas!).

Above all, every letter of God's name is to be accorded respect. Yes, God has a personal name, just like you and I (it would be rather ironic if God didn't have a Christian name). It must be written in ALL CAPS.

Ps 68:4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

Ex 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

This goes for the Tetragrammaton, YHWH, and all of the places in the Bible where it is substituted with LORD.

The Hebes thought it best to avoid using God's name altogether, substituting it with Adonai. This is probably for the best because, as Brother Elmer mentioned, Hebrew makes no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters and therefore cannot accord God's name the reverence it is due. So before attempting to write God's name, please ensure that your caps lock is turned on and proceed with the utmost caution.

Ex 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

These are just a few simple rules for showing proper reverence towards God. I will close by reminding unsaved visitors to these forums that the word atheist is never to be capitalised!
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

          Amen!

Beautiful exposition, Brother Pendergrast! I'd only add that the other God's name - Jealous - is also to be capitalized when used as name, but not when used as adjective:

Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
God created fossils to test our faith.

Just to be on the safe side, I capitalize the first letter of Important Words in case Jesus would approve.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
