We are not declaring ourselves perfect. We are simply pointing out that God Himself has declared us perfect. Or do you truly reject His Word?

How is relaying what God says about His perfect children in His Perfect Book (KJV 1611) a sin? God has decided that we are perfect. You can kick, scream, and throw e-tantrums all you want, but, as you are finding out, you are entirely unable to prove that what we are pointing out to you is wrong! All you can do is dodge and divert, dodge and divert, from red herring argument to another, because you have no valid arguments against the Scripture we have provided you over and over again.

When you find yourself standing before the LORD on His throne, how are you going to answer for your refusal to accept His Word?

I suspect that you are frustrated because, deep down, you know that you are unrighteous, imperfect, and continue to wallow in sin and depredation. This is because you do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you as I have the Spirit within me, guiding my thoughts, words, and deeds. You do not have the Holy Spirit within you because you are given to false doctrine. We were told that such a time as this would occur.

    II Timothy 4:3-4
    For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I truly hope that you will turn from the false doctrines of the Jehova's Witnesses (I had originally taken you for a universal unitarian until you came up as a topic of discussion during our pancake breakfast this morning). Despite it becoming increasingly clear that you are hopelessly estranged from His Grace, likely preordained to damnation, I do hope that you will make the radical transformation and truly accept Jesus Christ as your personal LORD and Savior... not just concoct some half-baked, non-Biblical character to worship and cherry-pick which verses of Scripture you will follow. I want you to join me in Heaven, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

      Re: True Christians are Perfect!

We are not declaring ourselves perfect. We are simply pointing out that God Himself has declared us perfect. Or do you truly reject His Word?
But this assuming that you are in the correct 'religion' and that you are doing the 'works' that are required to be part of the group that God considers 'perfect', and that you have the correct understanding of the scriptures.
And then it is really up to God to do the choosing, not up to us to declare ourselves as 'perfect'.
What I mean is, some here, actually believed in the immortality of the soul, which is not a bible teaching. These 'perfect' ones would have known that.
What you have to do is look at biblical history, and see when Jesus came ,how his followers did things, what they did, and how that relates to our day. ( Jesus second coming)

      Matthew 7:13-14 (King James Version)

13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

If you remember Noah, 8 of an estimated 1 million people are only ones that survived. Even in Jesus day very few followed him. And the major 'religion' as chosen by God was cast off. So what does that mean for our day?

"Correct" religion? Are you retarded? There is only one religion, one God, and one Book that lays it all out, plain as day. Why do you insist on making this some Rube Goldberg joo-traption?

Also: you seem to be trying to fudge biblical numbers in order to shake our faith: is that your intention?

        NOT GONNA WORK!!!

As far as the people who lived when God saw fit to kill all the sinners with a worldwide flood, and your implication that that is somehow wrong or mathematically improbable: have you ever taken a look at this?

As of this writing, there are 981 pages of current and former members of Landover Baptist. Most of them are gone.

        Why is that?

BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FOLLOW RULES. Same as in Noah's time.

The rules here at LBC are very simple, as are the rules in the Bible. Why people choose to flout them is beyond my comprehension.

If you rape another man's wife, you are denying him of his property. According to the Bible, you would be stoned and she would not be. If it was consensual sex, you both would be sentenced to death.

Deut. 22:22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
                23If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.

I'm a tad confused here... I came on here from a friends blog site and I read this. I've grown up in the Baptist church and been taught the scriptures my entire life but hearing that once I am born again I am perfect is new to me.

Are you saying that once I am born again I will no longer sin?

I know it's a strange concept after having total depravity drilled into your head for years by watered down Baptist churches, but read 1 John 3.

It's right there in the texts.

3And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

If you were truly born again, you will never ever want to sin anymore. Consider these verses:
1 John 1:6-7 -- If we say that we haue felowship with him, and walke in darkenesse, we lie, and doe not the trueth. But if wee walke in the light, as he is in the light, wee haue fellowship one with another, and the blood of Iesus Christ his Sonne clenseth vs from all sinne.
But then in the very next verse we see:
1 John 1:8 -- If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and the trueth is not in vs.
So there you have it. Life is a struggle but we have Baby Jesus doing most of the wrestling for us.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

In this verse, Jesus is speaking to unsaved trash who have not accepted Him as their LORD and Savior. At that time, He had not yet died (temporarily) on the Cross, so it was not possible for any to be washed in His Blood at that period in history.

Today, we True Christians™ who worship Him and glorify Him by following - unquestioningly - every letter of His Word as given in the Holy Bible (KJV 1611) are without sin, as the Scripture you gave above illustrates!

Therefore, if anyone is to "cast the first stone" and judge in righteous judgment, it is us - the perfect children of God. Praise!

No need to move on. First things first. You have to get this one correct first. Let us look at this Romans 3:10 passage in the original.

καθως γεγραπται οτι ουκ εστιν δικαιος ουδε εις

δικαιος is the Greek word here that means righteous. But you seem to think the word means perfect. You could not be more incorrect nor stupid with your assertion.

Now let us compare that with a verse that uses the word perfect.
Matthew 5:48 -- Be yee therefore perfect, euen as your father, which is in heauen, is perfect.
                                Or in the original:

εσεσθε ουν υμεις τελειοι ως ο πατηρ υμων ο ουρανιος τελειος εστιν

As you can see here the American word perfect is the Greek word τελειοι. Even someone as dense as you can see that there are two different words being used, δικαιος vs τελειοι.

So not only can True Christians™ be perfect, Jesus expects us to be perfect. And that has nothing to do with your use of Romans 3:10.

You are so full of yourself yet you know little to nothing.
                                YiJC, BS
