Myron was simply pointing out to that no matter how much you think you are a good person, or help old ladies across the street, or feed homeless children....without accepting Christ as your savior, you are damned to Hell for all eternity. No "ifs", "ands", or "buts" about it!

Now King James' homosexuality is entirely a moot point. King James himself did not translate the texts, rather he simply commissioned an elite team of scholars to do so. Being King of England, of course he gets to put his name on the textual version. No one here thinks King James translated it. No one here worships King James.

I have nothing against King James. I wish he could have lived in a time when his sexuality was more accepted. It was, however, an indictment of you, for your hipocrisy of hating and reviling homosexuals, yet preaching from a bible with one's name on the cover.

Yes, Exactly! The KJV could be called "Super Cool Book of God!!!!!1" on the cover, but if the text inside was the same, then it would still be the Word of God©. The name of the textual translation is completely pointless.

JRFinn, here's an example that maybe an atheist like you might understand: Suppose a Christian publisher published Darwin's Origin of the Species. The text was the complete original text and nothing has been added or removed. The only difference is instead of publishing at "Origin of Species" they call it "Big Stupid Book of Evolution".

Would this so-called "Big Stupid Book of Evolution" still be true in your eyes as an atheist? Or would the entire book be rendered invalid by the title?

On the Origin of the Species was the germinating, but not authoritative, work on the theory of evolution. Its title is immaterial to me, and it does not matter what insults you hurl at him. It does not matter if he is discredited, the skeletal framework of his theories, upon which evolutionary science has been based, has been proved over and over and over again, occaisional hoaxes notwithstanding.
