    Who cares about gnomes?

    He does mention dwarfs though:

Gnomes aren't real. They are hardly an achievement of science, more of fantasy literature. And I'm pretty sure they were invented before the 20th century.

Your logic is like saying if a candle is burning and I am in the same room, I'd be incinerated. The sun is sized proportionate to the amount of light and heat God wants us to have.
Just like you install a house sized furnace in a house, an apartment sized in an apartment building, God sized the Sun for the Earth.
jono_100's logic is not like you refer. What he says is that the size of the sun is much greater than that of the Earth and the sheer intensity of that heat would burn everything.
If you were to build a house sized furnace in a house, and be in that house while it burns, you would be incinerated. Such a thing cannot be denied as if you were to, that would mean that you say that if you were to stand in a house that was on fire, that you would live through it.

The whole idea of science is to explain why things work the way it seems. Like that of religion, it is unproven to some. And yet some people believe it without a second thought. It is quite unfair to say what someone believes is wrong when you can say what you believe without being attacked.

You happen to ignore the spelling of what Whitski was referring to. He has been courteous enough to ensure that what he spelled was correct, the least you could do is return that.

I'm personally not against any particular belief, nor do I believe that the practice of science or religion is wrong. It is simply the choice of the person.
I have noticed however, that the people on this thread who consider their beliefs to be ultimate and to not be refuted are the ones whom follow this religious persuasion. I can understand the desire to want to say what you believe, but I don't feel that it is fair to attack someone else who believes another perspective.
To be a socially "normal" human being in today's society, (I say "normal" because I only refer to what I notice as the majority) it is important to understand as many perspectives as possible. Of course, you can say that you don't believe a perspective to be true, but in that case, it should be reciprocal, where people can say they don't believe your perspective.

We are doing our God-given doing to rebuke evil wherever we see it. We do this because we want to save people from their delusions and help them find salvation and avoid eternity in hell. Why do you want people to be tortured forever in hell, exactly? Are you upset because you know you are going there that you want to drag as many other people with you as you can?!

No, no and no. We have ZERO interest in being considered "normal" by the rebellious and evil people of this world. Jesus Christ promised us that if we stood true to His message we would be despised by the world, and you are affirming His prophecy even as you type.

And that is your belief. I choose not to accept that, as that is my choice. You do not need to say it is "horse manure"; such a comment is unwarranted.

You're telling me to get over myself when you are saying I am ant-Christian, when in reality, I am not. I hold no prejudice as I am knowledgeable on Christian Scripture. I do believe that you hold prejudice against myself as you are so willing to insult me without actually knowing me.

He wasn't spelling gnome. He spelled "genome". There is a difference. The first is the fantastical creature from 19th Century literature. The second is a scientific "discovery". I've read on this forum that many of the people on here are knowledgeable with science. If you are one of these people, you would know he did not mean gnome like you seem to be so insistent upon.

I read on the introduction thread that Atheists should not blindly quote from other online sources as everyone here has read them before and that they should think for themselves. But why do you quote so heavily from Scripture? Do you not choose to think for yourself like you expect people not of your specific religion to do?

I have no intention of "hoping to get people to embrace Satan". You are yourself ignorant if you believe such a thing. May I return a question? "Than it you seem to?" Which is perfectly fine and makes sense in a Biblical worldview because the universe is only 6,000 years old. No one knows how old the sun is. There were no humans billions of years ago to sit around and see it pop into existence and then keep track of how long it's been around.
