You may be a "bastard" that's not your fault you had no control over that situation. So you are being punished for being born. I would understand if you said my father and mother will be punished because they were consulting adults when your conception happened but for you to be punished because you were born is a wild theory in my eyes.
It's not a theory, it's the WORD of GOD!

I am sorry if you take offence to this it is not my intention. I would just like to state that it is theory, as is science mostly theory. The reason it is theory is because no one has died as a bastard and came back alive to tell us the result. It cant be proved so unfortunately and as hard as it will be for you to accept it is a theory. Everything is a theory until proven. Unless you know of someone who has died and came back to tell you the results of that it is a theory. Just like evolution cant be proved because no one can die and come back and say btw you were wrong there is a God so evolution is wrong. I dont expect you to believe me but it is theory.

Onto the part about you being scared of gods wrath. according to your scripture you ARE dammed there is nothing you can do to repair that if what your scripture says is true. So I ask again knowing in full that you are going to hell, why bother trying to please your God. This is not me having a crack at you I am just interested.

If God wishes me dead he has only to ask and I will do so. I have been disagreeing with scriptures of Gods for about 8 years and had nothing but joy in my life. So unless the Gods I have been disagreeing with are in fact false Gods then God does not have a problem with debating him otherwise I would have been stuck down by now.

I also have another question. Lucifer being older than the human race and being cast down before we had a chance to assemble holy texts. How do you not know that all the religions were not started by him as way of enslaving the human race to a certain law he found to be funny seeing as the reason he was cast out of Hevan was because of his hatred of humans.

      Kind regards,

There is a reason they call it "Having Faith" that reason is because it cant be proven thus it is a theory.

I forgot to add that to my last post so I thought I would just make a new comment.

Back to the original question of the sun, maybe the original point has already been disproven in the hundred or so pages that this discussion has extended but i believe it needs reiteration as the fundamental lack of scientific knowledge displayed on this page is quite frankly disturbing. The main error in the calculation arises from the fact that the sun is not actually a yellow body. It radiation profile when viewed from outside the distorting effect of our own atmosphere is actually that of a white body. This means it is so hot that it emits radiowaves, microwaves, infrared rays and the entire visible spectrum (giving the colour white) it even emits UV and probably xrays and gamma rays. In short it is a lot hotter than a coal fire which can glow yellow and even blue given enough oxygen.
The second flaw in the initial argument was assuming that the space between us and the sun has the same permitivity as our upper atmosphere, when in fact space is a vacuum, which doesn't absorb heat at anywhere near the rate that our atmosphere does.
As to the argument that the earth is flat, can you explain to me the origin of the horizon?
I know you will all probably get back to me with inane arguments about how i have never been to space and how do i know it is a vacuum or how do i know the radiation spectrum of the sun. Well the great thing about this is that we arent just taking the words of scientists as gospel. If I (or you) so wanted we could go out and perform experiments that would prove the things i have just said to be true. The same cannot be said for your beloved king james bible, and I am not the kind of man to take an outdated book at its word. What else do we still believe in from that era? witches (i wouldnt actually be surprised if some of you do), the medical procedures from back then?
please, before trying to disprove scientific knowledge that man has struggled for years to prove, go out and do some experiments. Otherwise you are no better than the persecutioners of gallileo, or the people that burned thousands of innocent witches in the name of the "good god"

Well done Chris Harper. You got me.

I am totally cut up now. Everything i have learned has been a lie. Please help me I am totally lost. My world has been brought down. How can I make amens with the lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

I suppose I must go and burn in hell for my heathenish lies. Maybe I can redeem myself on here.

            Long live the Lord.

            Kind regards,

Amen Brother. United we stand strong.

I have told my wife that she must be an obedient loving wife and not talk back to me seeing as we have converted to God. I suggest you do the same. I am glad we have been able to see the light of God.

I assume you have heard of gravitational lensing of light? Obviously the earth has to be flat. If it was round gravitational lensing would cause the sun's light to bend around the earth and it will be day light all the time.

There must be a way for these guys to break this shackle of religion and faith and blind stupidity. I don't believe for one minute that it can't be done, I just don't quite know how.

It may be something that only the person themselves can come to realize.

No, the earth isn't big enough for this to happen. Light only bends slightly around the sun. How would it bend around a sphere that's about 1 billion times smaller?

Because it doesn't bend around a sphere 1 billion times smaller, that's why!

Obviously, you aren't a True Christian™. If the sun was far away, why would it revolve around the earth? That wouldn't make any sense!

Clearly, a True Christian™ cannot possibly believe in heliocentrism, the vulgar heresy concocted by Copernicus, Galilei and promoted by other mockers of the True Word™ of God, the Bible, which unambiguously states:

                            Joshua 10:12-13:
Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

God sets the sun still, meaning that the sun revolves around the earth, which cannot be moved:

                            Psalm 104:5:
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

And you call yourself a Christian? Don't be ridiculous!

                            Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
                            Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

                            Amen.

Yes, light bends slightly around the sun that has a diameter of 32 miles. If the Earth was a sphere it would easily have enough Intelligent Pulling to bend light all the way around it. However as the Earth is flat I just can't see your point you are trying to make.

It's fairly common knowledge that Galileo was a Christian, only jailed by the Catholic Church because they dissagreed with him.
I am definately not a "true christian". But a Christian - sinner saved by grace.
