You're mistaken, dear. Look, I homeschool my children because I believe it isn't important just to teach them to read, but to teach them how to think about what they read. I take this responsibility very seriously, as it has been given to me by my Lord and Redeemer (in the Person of God the Father, as transcribed Deuteronomy 6:6-9). If you would consider seriously and genuinely the arguments put forth by our True Christians(tm) knowledgeable about science, you would learn they are sharing nothing but the Truth.

Really, Jesus won't lie to you. I promise.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

      No, it isn't.

"Pure water containing no exogenous ions is an excellent insulator..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Properties_of_water

"No, pure water does not conduct electricity.
Water will only conduct electricity when it has an electrolyte present, when ions are in solution which will allow for the flow of an electric current." http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...8084034AAwOvMq

"The answer is very simple: Pure water (H2O, no contaminants or dissolved ions) is never conductive."
"...it is perfectly true that pure water does not conduct electricity..."
" yes if you DO drop a hair dryer or electrical device in to a bathtub with you, you will get a shock. BUT it is not because of the water. It is the MINERALS in the water that conduct the electric shock."
Ultrapure water does not conduct electricity, the dissolved salts do. But keeping it pure may be difficult.

"The water molecule does not conduct electricity, contrary to popular belief… it’s the stuff floating around the water that conducts it."

We don't interpret the Bible, that's what the fuzzy bunnies do.

2nd Timothy 3:1-7 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Actually, it is. But if you believe your book can provide all the answers, just hop into a tub full of water with a toaster plugged into the wall and running. I'd love to see you prove me wrong.
        **sigh**

So nice to see that you know as much about science as you do about the Bible...

DISTILLED WATER DOES NOT CONDUCT ELECTRICITY

Since distilled water is purified and does not contain any impurities, it is unable to conduct electricity. Water molecules on their own have no charge and as a result they cannot swap electrons. Without the swapping of electrons, electricity is unable to travel through distilled water.
Salt water, on the other hand, is considered a good conductor of electricity because it contains ions in it. Tap water, although it doesn't taste salty, can also conduct electricity because it isn't pure. The water from the kitchen sink often has traces of minerals such as calcium, Ca2+, and magnesium, Mg2+ and can help conduct electricity. However, what needs to be noted here is that not all water is the same nor will it conduct electricity at the same rate.
How do you think they came up with water cooled computers?

Now go back to your licking windows and leave the people with IQ's over 60 to talk.

I mean, I'm not even arguing the Bible with you. This is stuff you should have covered by grade 9.

And people wonder why I home school my kids. Public schools are nothing but liebral brainwashing camps. They don't teach grammar, they don't teach math, they don't teach reading or writing, they don't teach science, but as long as you hate God and know that your feelings are more important than actually finding out what the facts are, then you'll pass with honors.

          Amen Sister!

Just look at the dumb heathens we get on this board. Did you know that in Detroit 40% of high school graduates are functionally illiterate! I remember the teachers I had back in the day and only 1 in 5 was actually a decent teacher. I'm sure it's now to 1-25 or perhaps lower.

No, I want my children to learn the three R's and proper science. How many people who claim to have college degrees here say that the KJV Bible is "too hard" to read? Yet my boys are quite capable of reading it and the youngest is 6!

The liebrals are destroying America. I pray that we are raptured before my boys have to learn Cantonese.

Are you thinking that water is bridging the board to cool it? Lol it's used as a heat sink

Okay if you think distilled water will not ruin your computer then try this out:
Put your computer in a rubbermaid bin on its side with everything hooked up.
            Pop open the tower case
Start pouring distilled water in submerging the pc in the bin, make sure all componentsare under.
Then go on your computer and post this tutorial to all the people who use real working computers submerged in mineral oil.

Why would anyone want to submerge themselves in mineral oil before using their computers? Unless....ewwwwwwwww!!! is that some kind of pre-innernet porno watching ritual that you do?!! You can keep that sickness to yourself thank you very much!!!

That would be true...if I used a comma, no wonder you nut jobs interpret everything wrong when you have such a tenuous grasp on the language 'gods' words have been translated into.

A fool in a hurry will drink his tea with a fork, and a grammar elitist in a hurry will forget to capitalize the 'G' and add an apostrophe when speaking of God's word. You must be in a rush to get back to your kiddie porn vids. A word to the wise, if one of these under-aged prostitots you are so fond of hitting on in the internets chatrooms sets up a meeting with you in real life...it just might be a police officer incognito. Personally, I hope it is because you deserve to do some serious time in prison. I know it would make the streets safer.

I've really got to know, how do you survive showering. Does mommy still sit in the bathroom with you to make sure you don't drown?

Does that look like "just a heat sink" to you?

We have given you UNIVERSITY SOURCES yet you're still going to argue that you're right, but everyone else in the world (including the scientists that you claim you worship) are wrong.

Ok. If what you say is true, explain the water cooloing method used for electric induction furnaces.

By the way I work in the industry and am involved in the design and manufacture of these furnaces.

These questions are provided by Dr. Hovind and Creation Science Evangelism www.drdino.com.

If you evilutionists think you have all the answers, try answering the following questions.

Some well-meaning but misguided people think evilution is a reasonable theory to explain many questions about the universe. But evilution is not a good theory : it is just a pagan religion masquerading as science.

                        1. Where did the space for the universe come from?

                        2. Where did matter come from?

                        3. Where did the laws of the universe come from (gravity, inertia, etc.)?

                        4. How did matter get so perfectly organized?

                        5. Where did the energy come from to do all the organizing?

                        6. When, where, why, and how did life come from dead matter?

                        7. When, where, why, and how did life learn to reproduce itself?

                        8. With what did the first cell capable of sexual reproduction reproduce?

                        9. Why would any plant or animal want to reproduce more of its kind since this would only make more mouths to feed and decrease the chances of survival? (Does the individual have a drive to survive, or the species? How do you explain this?)

                        10. How can mutations (recombining of the genetic code) create any new, improved varieties? (Recombining English letters will never produce Chinese books.)

                        11. Is it possible that similarities in design between different animals prove a common Creator instead of a common ancestor?

                        12. Natural selection only works with the genetic information available and tends only to keep a species stable. How would you explain the increasing complexity in the genetic code that must have occurred if evolution were true?

                        13. When, where, why, and how did
                        a. Single-celled plants become multi-celled? (Where are the two and three-celled intermediates?)
                        b. Single-celled animals evolve?
                        c. Fish change to amphibians?
                        d. Amphibians change to reptiles?
                        e. Reptiles change to birds? (The lungs, bones, eyes, reproductive organs, heart, method of locomotion, body covering, etc., are all very different!)
                        f. How did the intermediate forms live?

                        14. When, where, why, how, and from what did:
                        a. Whales evolve?
                        b. Sea horses evolve?
                        c. Bats evolve?
                        d. Eyes evolve?
                        e. Ears evolve?
                        f. Hair, skin, feathers, scales, nails, claws, etc., evolve?

                        15. Which evolved first (how, and how long, did it work without the others)?
                        a. The digestive system, the food to be digested, the appetite, the ability to find and eat the food, the digestive juices, or the body痴 resistance to its own digestive juice (stomach, intestines, etc.)?
                        b. The drive to reproduce or the ability to reproduce?
                        c. The lungs, the mucus lining to protect them, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs?
                        d. DNA or RNA to carry the DNA message to cell parts?
                        e. The termite or the flagella in its intestines that actually digest the cellulose?
                        f. The plants or the insects that live on and pollinate the plants?
                        g. The bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or muscles to move the bones?
                        h. The nervous system, repair system, or hormone system?
                        i. The immune system or the need for it?

                        16. There are many thousands of examples of symbiosis that defy an evolutionary explanation. Why must we teach students that evolution is the only explanation for these relationships?

                        17. How would evolution explain mimicry? Did the plants and animals develop mimicry by chance, by their intelligent choice, or by design?

                        18. When, where, why, and how did man evolve feelings? Love, mercy, guilt, etc. would never evolve in the theory of evolution.

                        19. How did photosynthesis evolve?

                        20. How did thought evolve?

                        21. How did flowering plants evolve, and from what?

                        22. What kind of evolutionist are you? Why are you not one of the other eight or ten kinds?

                        23. What would you have said fifty years ago if I told you I had a living coelacanth in my aquarium?

                        24. Is there one clear prediction of macroevolution that has proved true?

                        25. What is so scientific about the idea of hydrogen gas becoming human?

                        26. Do you honestly believe that everything came from nothing?

After you have answered the preceding questions, please look carefully at your answers and thoughtfully consider the following questions.

                        1. Are you sure your answers are reasonable, right, and scientifically provable, or do you just believe that it may have happened the way you have answered? (Do these answers reflect your religion or your science?)

                        2. Do your answers show more or less faith than the person who says, "God must have designed it"?

                        3. Is it possible that an unseen Creator designed this universe? If God is excluded at the beginning of the discussion by your definition of science, how could it be shown that He did create the universe if He did?

                        4. Is it wise and fair to present the theory of evolution to students as fact?

                        5. What is the end result of a belief in evolution (lifestyle, society, attitude about others, eternal destiny, etc.)?

                        6. Do people accept evolution because of the following factors?
                        a. It is all they have been taught.
                        b. They like the freedom from God (no moral absolutes, etc.).
                        c. They are bound to support the theory for fear of losing their job or status or grade point average.
                        d. They are too proud to admit they are wrong.
                        e. Evolution is the only philosophy that can be used to justify their political agenda.

                        7. Should we continue to use outdated, disproved, questionable, or inconclusive evidences to support the theory of evolution because we don't have a suitable substitute (Piltdown man, recapitulation, archaeopteryx, Lucy, Java man, Neanderthal man, horse evolution, vestigial organs, etc.)?

                        8. Should parents be allowed to require that evolution not be taught as fact in their school system unless equal time is given to other theories of origins (like divine creation)?

                        9. What are you risking if you are wrong? As one of my debate opponents said, "Either there is a God or there is not. Both possibilities are frightening."

                        10. Why are many evolutionists afraid of the idea of creationism being presented in public schools? If we are not supposed to teach religion in schools, then why not get evolution out of the textbooks? It is just a religious worldview.

                        11. Aren't you tired of faith in a system that cannot be true? Wouldn't it be great to know the God who made you, and to accept His love and forgiveness?

                        12. Would you be interested, if I showed you from the Bible, how to have your sins forgiven and how to know for sure that you are going to Heaven? If so, click on the Paypal button at the bottom of this screen.
Hey, I'm a geologist and not an evolutionary biologist, but some questions here I could answer, but your better off writing to Richard Dawkins.
Everything you've asked has been discovered and can be backed up with an abundance of irrefutable evidence,
A chimp has a DNA code that is 99.8% the same as ours, a gorilla has 99.4% the same, a dog around 90% a chicken 60% the same, and it's all down to a common anscestor, every feeling we, as animals exhibit is evidence of survival instinct, it's why we get fat, why we sweat, why we love, and protect, it's why we're social, it even explains religion, in the sense that death scares all of us, so comfort is taken by those who believe in an afterlife, love is wonderful, but still produced by chemical releases such as oxytocin and dopamine, it's to help us reproduce, it's why we have a labido and why we get broody, it's why we fight, and it's the survival instinct that helps our bodies to adapt, it's why our skin colour differs with geographical location, it's why we are hairy and why we are intelligent, it's evolution, and it's there to aid us in preserving our race as homo Sapiens, and it's one of the most amazing theories science has given us, it explains a lot.
Now where's the evidence for the theological theory????
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done
abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I would think then as a geologist you could easily explain were rocks came from.

As for the evidence for the "God did it, because He felt like it" hypothesis the explanation is quite simple. God hid all evidence of His work to test man.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

                            I can yes, all three
Igneous-most abundant type, caused by the cooling of magma

Sedimentary-formed by the build up of sediments, and the subsequent pressure imposed.

Metamorphic-begins as igneous or sedimentary, but is the subsequently exposed to higher temperatures and pressures experienced than when the original rock (protolith) was formed, changing the chemical composition of said rock. And rather beautiful it is.

Although my fields of geography are hydrography and oceanography, I consider these basic examples proof of our naturally forming crust

abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Only as long as that "abundance of irrefutable evidence" comes from some liberal university funded research where any information to the contrary is systematically dismissed out of hand and any scientist refusing to keep quiet is then fired for his troubles. I've seen "Expelled." I know how it works.

How does secular geology account for the possibly that under certain circumstances rocks can talk?

                                Lk 19:37-40
                                37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

How does it account for water coming from a rock?

Ex 17:5-6 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Clearly, there are many phenomena your "science" can't explain. The only reliable form of geology is Flood geology, because it proves the Biblical account of Noah's Flood.
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
