It has been proven numerous times in this thread that nobody has ever been to space nor has any pictures been taken from there. There is no way to get to "space" because the firmament. The KJV Bible tells us space isn't empty anyway, it's a vast ocean.

This was the flat disk image of the earth put forward by falt earthers.

If you stick your fingers in your ears and deny space travel and claim that pictures taken from space are fake and everything else that we know proves a spherical eath is some kind of scientific conspiracy, then you could possibly for a second believe in this flat disc earth.

But even without all that scientific proof, it only takes a seconds thought to realise the flat disc earth is nonsense. There is no possible path that the sun could take which would correspond to what we know.

Unless you live withinin the Arctic or Antarctic circles (where you wont see the sun for a month or so in winter and will have 24 hr daylight for part of summer), you see the sun rise above the eastern horizon every morning and dip below the western horizon in the evening.

The sun cannot possibly dip below the earth out of sight in the flat disc model because that would make it night time everywhere on earth, which we know for a fact doesn't happen.

So the flat disc earthers have to propose some model where the sun circles in rings. but there is no possible model that could account for the South pole having 24 hours of daylight in the summer.

The other immediately obvious nonsense in the flat disc map is that distances at similar latitudes in the southern hemisphere are massively larger than at corresponding latitudes in the northern hemisphere. Again completely detached from reality.

No you didn't. You just 'stated' and 'affirmed' and 'insisted' without any real proof. Brother Dewitt and others have posted models that prove categorically the Earth's unroundness. You have done nothing of the sort. As you know we're failry open minded here so we'd be only too happy for you to back up your claims with some examples.

Refudiate IS a word, whether you like Sarah Palin or not. Habit converts words into being. The English language (and others) are littered with words and expressions that began as grammatical mistakes (the question tag 'aren't I' is a good example of how the original contraction 'am'n't I' was corrupted in the London area and gradually spread to all corners of the island before being taken to its daughter languages overseas.) and words that came into being either by necessity (brunch) or accident (the snake - an adder, was originally a nadder.)

Please do NOT dictate this area of linguistics to me. I AM a linguist, thank you. Refudiate IS a word.
