i acknowledge the position of the sun gives timezones.
That's not my point. How can the sun be on another ANGLE, in two different parts of the earth. Of course earth is big. But close tithe horizon means 2 things. Earth is spherical / curved, or the sun goes under the flat disk creating a global night.

You still do not get it. Sunlight is not spread over the entire all at once.

Try using the torch experiment with a torch that can make the beam narrow or wide.

Well there Doc_Smegma, Lisa has made an excellent point about this getting rather off-topic, so allow me to just make a few quick comments.

First of all, your ideas of free-will are ludicrous. I am sure Sarte is rolling in his grave right now.

Your argument that my refutation of your claims of circular reasoning because of my use of the qualifier "self" is ludicrous. If it bothers you that much, just re-read it and pretend whenever I said self-consistent I actually said consistent.

Your idea that the Bible not being mentioned in any other religious text negates its historical value is ludicrous. Secular science has proved once and again that archeological evidence exists for the Bible at least back to the time of King David.

And this brings me back to the point of the Earth being flat. If you could only accept that the Bible is a valid historical document, you would see that this allows us to use it to make justifications (i.e. a flat earth) without it being circular reasoning.

Actually, I didn't discount your using of the bible because of "Self", I merely pointed out that that was a wrong way to put it. The discounting actually comes after that, and is correct. You can't use the Bible to "Prove" the Bible. Which you tried to do, which is erroneous.

Allright. I put some of my work down to make this model (in text).
What you say means that the sun follows a circular orbit, ABOVE earth, right?
Like one of those ceiling fans? (I'm not English so excuse me if I'm wrong sometimes).

Since the sun is proven to follow an (avarage) trajectory that's 90 degrees above the equator. Can I assume the sun orbits straight above the equator? (moving inwards and outwards every year for season purposes?).
