First, I would like to ask where exactly you think the ends of the Earth are. Ma'am, I'd like to ask you this... IF, as you so humorously propose, the earth is round, where, then are the edges? A flat earth modality only makes sense. How can one travel to the "ends of the earth" if the earth is ROUND??

But the explanations behind the experiments are:
Answer to experiment 1:
Sit in the passenger seat of a car while somebody drives, while holding a ball. Making sure the car is driving at least 30 miles per hour, and not speeding up or slowing down, throw the ball straight up. Although the car is traveling forward, the ball will not go backwards in relation to you. Likewise, as the Earth spins, we spin with it, moving at the same speed. Since we are already moving, jumping straight up does not impede our movement. I'm not sure how you think that the earth is NOT flat with your experiment... the ball goes up, then comes down, because the earth is not spinning...
Answer to experiment 2:
This one is simply a matter of belief in gravity or disbelief in gravity. Since you don't believe in gravity, and I do, I can't explain this to you on your terms. There are other possibilities... one is the Theory (to use the parlance of "scientists") of Universal Acceleration. That is, that the earth is "moving up", forcing all the things on earth to stay on earth. Thats why the ball in your "answer" above stays in place...

One day, go to an ocean (not a lake), if it's possible in your lifetime. Look out on the water. You'll see that you cannot see forever. And if you see a boat go off in the distance, you'll notice that it will slowly go under the horizon. I grew up on the shore of the Pacific ocean. I've watched many, many vessels sail into the distance. To me, it simply looks like they just get smaller, until one can't see them anymore. Conversely, when they come in to port, they start small and get bigger.

Last rebuke: Many people have traveled a circle around the world. I, myself, have visited countries across the Atlantic, and have communicated with my family at home, who had just woken up when I called them in the European mid-afternoon, and who were about to go to sleep when they called me in the European early morning. My watch, also, showed a time many hours early after the flight to Europe. Either Europeans work under a different sun than Americans, or the world is round. Huh? A different sun? No, the sun moves around the surface of the earth. Everyone knows that...

Let me guess; you just thought that you'd go ahead and jump right in, without actually reading all the posts in this thread, correct? Perhaps you should... then you won't look so silly next time you try and proffer some sort of argument.

Ma'am, the Holy Bible makes it clear: the earth is flat and immobile. That question is done with. Whats not done with is the question of your soul... where do you want to spend your afterlife? Heaven, with God, Jesus and the angels, or Hell, with Satan and the Damned?

Well, the technical answer is that it is "at that place where on the one side there is the Earth, and on the other it is not." It is beyond the Great Ice Wall.

You’ve never been to the sea, have you? Remember Jesus on the Sea of Galilee? There was a storm… Well, the sea is not flat, it has waves and swells and troughs. Once a boat gets out a distance and, being as you are looking over waves and swells, it disappears because of perspective – it becomes too small to see and the troughs hide it.

My watch, also, showed a time many hours early after the flight to Europe. Either Europeans work under a different sun than Americans, or the world is round.

I had a watch like that – have it serviced.

let's say that the Earth moves 100km \ h for convenience.
then I would move in 100km \ h, but if I then jumped
I do not fly away but I would continue to travel at 100km \ h

when this car driving at 50 km \ h, the earth is still traveling at 100 km \ h but I would travel in 150 km \ h,
when the car crashes then I'd kept the car's kinetic energy, and I would fly out, because then I would move 50km \ h faster than the Earth.

The fault with the balloon theory is that if you blow up a balloon so does not increase the mass of it, you stretch it out, and reduce the density. For an object to get gravity and still be like a little like a balloon, so it must have much higher density. although now you had an extremely compact balloon, which created a gravity of 0.2 so would the Earth's gravity still be greater.



Get High theory is wrong. This can be seen with an even simpler experiment. first to sit down, slow enough to his hand, then as you bend your hand so you just can not see the back of your hand. then as you go up without raising your hand when you discover that you suddenly can see the back of your hand. Same with the earth we see more and more of our planet, the higher up you go, but finally it ends views to spread, then you can see half the earth. Where it stops

Ok I have an experiment for everyone as well.

If you stick a stick in the ground, it will produce a shadow. The shadow moves as time passes (which is the principle for ancient Shadow Clocks). If the world had been flat, then two sticks in different locations would produce the same shadow:







But they don’t. This is because the earth is round, and not flat

Went to my backyard to try your little experiment. Posts at either end of the fence (the same height, I measured carefully), cast shadows the exact same length.
