If the truck was moving, of course you wouldn't land back on it, since ITS MOVING! The experiment was to prove if the world spins as quickly as they say then you would not end up in the same place after jumping off THE GROUND..You must be one of those idiots who consider themselves scientists seeing as how you're not too bright.

Try standing on the back of a truck moving fast you are pushed in the opposite direction from your direction of travel and indeed if you jumped you would come off the back.

The logical analysis of this would be that the Earth couldn't be spinning because we would fly off. Unfortunately this logic doesn't hold, you see with the truck you are moving very fast relative to the air around you, so the air will push against you. On Earth the entire planet is spinning including the atmosphere and air around us, so when we jump this won't push against us. Get it?!

Ever wonder why when you look at the ocean you can only see so far and then the horizon of the sky cuts your view off? Thats because the earth is a sphere, if it was flat you would be able to see for thousands of miles.

They are not discs they are spheres, if it was a disk all the continents would be visible and be in the same place! How do you explain when you watch world wide weather and it SPINS around the world, the world is not flat! You do realise pictures of spheres look like circles/discs.
