In a combustion reaction there is heat and light, this is what we call fire. To make something burn is to let it react with oxygen, but there is not always fire with an oxidation.

There is a limit to how much we humans can wrap our minds around when it comes to comprehending the mightiness of "god" almighty. Good christians know better than to tug on his cape.
Good scientists know better than to believe in false idols. I only believe things that are proven.

Good! Good! Well said! As neither evolution nor the origin of the universe has been "proven" by so-called scientists, I may now assume that you are willing to accept that the earth is ~6000years old and that God created the universe and all that is in it?

Evolution and the Big bang actually are proven.

Show me where it's "proven" in the Bible, monkey worshiper.

It isn't written in the bible. But it is proven with multiple methods, I shall give an example: If you measure the movement and the speed of stars,... (that is possible, because of the Doppler-effect and other methods), and if you then "turn back the time" with computer programs, you'll see that if you go back +- 13.7 billion years that everything is concentrated in one point. That proves that +-13.7 billion years ago, everything was in one point, then it exploded and there was the universe.

Forgive me, I'm a little slow on this one, can you just run through all of the math, line by line, that proves this?

Oh, if you want the same proof for God, go through the Bible, line by line...

whilst sommalol beatmeup or whatever he's called is sorting out his answer, do you have anything by way of maths that supports your theories, like I asked for above? Or do you accept things on blind faith?

I can pretty well assure you that it wasn't because a bunch of non-existent membranes just happened to wander by. God was there at the Beginning. There was no time before the Beginning, and no place, either, so we really don't need to explain where God came from, or when. It is as meaningless a question as what is to the north of the North Pole.

That puts the Earth dead square in the middle of Creation, where the Bible puts it, even though the so-called scientists seem to ignore this simple fact.

Don't bother, Peter's idea of science is reading Wikipedia and then pretending he has a clue. He will NEVER provide specifics, because he CAN'T.

You can see that by observing other planets (Mars, Jupiter,...),that the Earth moves around the sun, and that the planets from our solar system also move around the sun.

Can you prove that? Because the Bible says something different.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

God created the Heavens and the Earth, right at the beginning. If that's your definition of the Big Bang, then, as embarrassing as it is for me, I guess we agree.

e.g. measuring galactic distances by the means of parsec
How does one do this measuring "by the means of parsec?" Is there a parsecmeter sitting in a warehouse at NASA that they dust off every now and then when they want to be sure that the universe is still whatever the currently accepted age of the universe is?

No, they aren't That puts the Earth dead square in the middle of Creation, where the Bible puts it, even though the so-called scientists seem to ignore this simple fact
If the universe isn't expanding uniformly in all directions away from Earth, then where is the center of the universe currently located, as calculated by the astronomers running everything backwards 13.7 billion years in their computer programs?

I NEVER use wikipedia as a reference, I look in science books, that contain (proven) info about scientific questions.
What science book did you use to discover the measurement of distance by the means of parsec? We have an extensive collection of science textbooks in the banned book room in the Freehold Public Library, and I'll be glad to get a Deacon's permission to look this up to be sure you're not just BSing us.

Here's a tangible proof that God exists--if God does not exist, then His prophecies cannot be true. Now, I don't like to boast, but I have a little of the gift of prophecy at times, and God is telling me that you cannot name any science book by any reputable source (say, a professor of astronomy or physics at any accredited university) that says astronomers have measured the expansion of the Universe "by the means of parsec?" So, Peter, here's your golden chance to prove to me and the entire world that (a) I am wrong, (b) God does not exist, and (c) you are not completely full of $h!t.

But if you can't name the science book, I will have exposed you for the low-down liar that you are, and that will be the last time I respond to any post that you make, ever, because you will have proved that God is right and that you are beyond contempt.
