  • God Reveals More of Creation

    You know, every time you sit in wonder at God’s Creation, a new thing appears to make you appreciate the Lord Who is Visible in His Works.

    Today it is announced that Christian scientists have found the first venomous crustacean - a centipede-like creature that lives in underwater caves.

    The blind "remipede" liquefies its prey with a compound similar to that found in a rattlesnake's fangs. It lives in underwater caves of the Caribbean, Canary Islands and Western Australia, feeding on other crustaceans.

    The remipede (Speleonectes tulumensis) breaks down its victims’ body tissues with its venom and then sucks out a liquid meal from its prey's exoskeleton.

    Biologists would claim the remipede is evidence of evolution, with fossilis dating back 300 million years. But if the remipede isn't proof that all sea creatures were created in one day 6,000 years ago (Gen 1:20-22), I don't know what is! The fact that we even have fossilised remains proves there was a global flood around 2,500 years ago. The latest discovery screams intelligent design.

    Von Reumont showed that the remipede’s venom system is very sophisticated. One set of muscles contracts the creature’s glands, pumping venom into its fangs. A second set of muscles stabs the fangs forwards, while squeezing a duct to prevent the venom from flowing backwards.
    The irreducibly complex system by which the remipede delivers its venom was lovingly crafted by our Heavenly Father in such a way that the poor creature wouldn't poison itself when it envenomates its prey. Remipedes live in dark underground aquifers where it's always dark. Since they don't need to see, even had the wisdom to create them blind!

    Thank you, Brother Bathfire, for bringing this fascinating creature to our attention.

And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

      That "liquid meal" sounds very much like the smoothies and milkshakes humans intelligently designed.
      Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
      brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

        What a fascinating creature. Is it possible to remove the venom so as to make it edible? If not, I wonder what God's purpose was here.

        Stories like this one remind me that there are so many questions that I yearn to ask Him in Person!

          That's our Lord for you isn't it! If He had forgotten to make it blind, the poor creature might be looking around endlessly, going DURRRRRR! But He would never make such a mistake, as He is God! Praise!

            I think God created this little monster to threaten children who refuse to eat their food. I am certain children will eat whatever is for dinner if the alternative is eating this monstrosity. Or perhaps God designed it to sneak into the behind of people having un-Godly anal sex to destroy them from the inside and hasten their departure to Hell.

              Unlikely. The creatures live underwater. God hasn't given us gills (Hah! Something both cristians and atheists can agree on). As far as the second thought goes .... well, I guess most homosexuals still do it in their bedroom and not underwater. Why would the creature sneak into their behind? It's the hole where the poop comes out, why would any heavensent creature want to crawl in there?

                So if something lives under water, you can not eat it? Does fish ring a bell or don't they serve that in your madhouse out of fear you will kill each other with the fish bones?

                  So fish crawls into your butthole? I get it why your children don't want to eat your food.
