He said a lot of other things too, read your KJV1611. One of the things he said was to stone the likes of you! So do you stone non believers or do you disobey god and do nothing?

this isn't a direct response to the last post.. I'm just new to the forum :\

Anyway, I think it's safe to say that regardless of the "judging" controversy..if you'll humor me in calling it a controversy... Jesus summed up all of the laws and said to

1) Love your neighbors as yourself
2) Love the Lord with all your...

Did He say that we should ignore all the other laws? Or did He say that ALL of His Laws were still in effect? (Hint: Pick Option 2.)

Where in the Bible does it say anything about "True Christians"? or "Baptists" being the only denomination going to heaven?

The Bible says that only those who love and obey Jesus and every one of His Laws, and who are washed free of sin and then remain sin-free, get to go to Heaven. How many denominations do that, with their Polyester Blend Pot Lucks, and their Sodomite Socials, and their Divorcee Dinners?

I currently attend a non-denominational church where I lead worship for the youth group. I feel closer to God than I ever did before. I'm in an active service role... I also plan to be a Music Minister after graduating from college.

It sounds plausible. God frequently gives people utterly insane commands as a test to see if they'll obey Him. He gets very offended if they don't. Did you know that rebellion is equal to the sin of witchcraft?

I'm not sure but I think any Christian church that teaches from the Bible is really Christian.

Now if you look at roman-catholics, they have alot of things that they like to add to their religion, which has nothing to do with the Bible.

No I didn't know that about rebellion. Sure that's not a way to control you? The ultimate test would be to risk eternal damnation from god by disobeying his order to, for instance, offer a son up for scarifice(what was that story, or is it a catholic thing?). If heaven is the paradise it's meant to be, that would be the ultimate test for entry, then god would know how true you were to yourself and your beliefs, to put "nothing" ahead of doing what is right.

God has already done this. These verses are from the Book of Judges.

(Basically, Jephthah vows to the Lord that if he is granted victory in battle, he will sacrifice to the Lord whatever comes out of his house first on his return. His young daughter comes out the house first and he sacrifices her. This shows that if you vow before The Lord, you MUST keep your vow.)
