Re: Checkmate, Atheists
I'm not sure to what extent Jizzya promotes extortion rackets or whether Samuel would be of any interest and without any idea of what shape's being claimed for the earth in post #42 about the best I can do is cite Samuel's statement:
It is clear from that that one's circumstances, however vile, can indeed change. Every baby is born vile. Brim-full of sin and deserving of perpetual torture.
Clearly the fact that anyone makes it into Paradise at all demonstrates "once a sinner" does not mean "always a sinner" and we know from the historical record that at least one person made it!
Unless you're suggesting there's nothing historical in The New Testament? That would go along with your Old Testament views concerning plate tectonics as proposed by secular geologists. Subterranean activity of that type would really mess up the pillars.

I Samuel 2:7-9 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

Luke 23:39-44 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
