There was no insult whatsoever made by the "witch". The first harsh words that were thrown out were "whore" so you can have a very special bucket of your own. And I am tempted to treat you pastor prideful "stud" in bible study with a bucket too for being so harsh. And...

Now, considering how much of your blathering post I had to delete before it made any sense, I'd say that you are the long-winded one. And we never really stoop to argue here at the Landover Baptist forum, nor do we worry about "winning over" sinners.


We just lay out the scripture and let the Holy Book speak for Itself. Jesus alone wins over souls as He pleases.


Regarding your use of scripture, you mention John 3:16 as the first one that "comes to mind"-- your mind is what you mean. Because your soft and cuddly brain cells will always gravitate to the easier to accept parts of the Bible.


If you want to be a Lion For the Lord, I suggest that you follow your own exhortation and read YOUR Bible again. Please pay close attention to the bits that explain that you can't ignore any of the other bits. Then, read the parts that your fluffy little heart wants to pretend aren't there.

This is a very non-Biblical string of assumptions.

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Where does it say in this verse that God loves everyone? It only says "the world," and "world" is a very different concept from "all people."

Sad as it is to say, I laughed at many of your replies to my exhortation to re-examine the hate that you lot have so faithfully clung to. After reading this entire article, I caught sight of it and almost burst into tears. No, I have ignored nothing. Jesus has not abolished the old law, but we should not let it hang over our heads such as is happening over this "forum". (I am just now seeing the crucified emoji and the deaths of Muslim terrorists...no comment). I looked at the scripture that a couple of you have used, and it only furthered my sadness...First off, I do enjoy paragraphs, but I do not find them necessary at all moments in time. Thank you for trying to point that out to me, though, it is greatly appreciated. All of the quotes used against the arguments made in the position of "God hates the sin, not the sinner" did not have a great foundation, if I may say so. Many of them were flimsy in the sense that they referred to old laws, but not the absolute hate from God, and I see that just about all of them were Old Testament, which I have nothing against. Now, concerning the many where only the people committing the sin were MENTIONED but not CONDEMNED TO DEATH, I almost laughed at that one and cried all at once, if that can make sense to any of you. Jesus is merely calling out the different sins being committed by those that "uphold the law" (speaking of the OT law). Just like the law itself, he calls out the imperfection in the Pharisees and such people. However, if you read on throughout the Gospels, he always comes back to the grace and salvation he is offering them after each new sin is revealed. So...how can one say that God hates a sinner if he also loves him enough to give him a Way to salvation? That seems a tad bit double-minded. (lol remembered the paragraph) While you lot can be as condescending towards me, I will completely let you. See, I used to act like you lot: hating sinners and trying to convert them "militantly". And then I too felt unjust under the law of God. Then he revealed grace in its true form. What I am getting at is, it is still too sweet for me to describe with my own, human words. So, please forgive me on that matter.
My dear true Christians, those who are out there, I will happily listen to your beliefs that God positively hates sinners if you could lay it out for me. While I know that very thesis is wrong, I would still like to see who can protect the antithesis. I love you all, and forgive you all. ^^
