As an atheist, why should i care what the bible says, for me this is not justified source of information and never will be untill god has been SCIENTIFICALLY proven to exist. Same goes to bible being trustwotrhy source of information. This book is morally wrong anyway making it morally ok to kill people and taking slaves. I don't give a damn about contexts. What ever the efin context is IT IS NOT OK TO KILL ANOTHER HUMAN BEING OR KEEP HIM AS A SLAVE. So, if you theists wanna prove me wrong you better come up with something better than quotes from the bible.

Apparently, the folks at http://conservapedia.com/ have a problem with several bible verses, including that one.

How can I not make these advances with names like Pim Pendergast - his name sets me Aghast! Aw. Also, you should probably get those eyes checked; you've spent too much of your personal time on these things and are now "seeing" others do it - a psychological phenomenon called imprinting where what you do, you think others do as well. It's times like these that I'm reminded of that one kid in class who had to have everything explained to him. For example, they told him to write something on the blackboard, and he objected that the board was dark green (we had a dark green blackboard), which used chalk. We explained that "blackboard" was the term we used to describe our green board. I suppose in the same way, when someone says "I hated them", specifically in ANE language, it means their practices were detested. We see in Ruth, the Moabitess, that the people themselves were not hated.
