Your so-called scientifical "facts" always seem t change. God's Word never changes, ever.

God didn't come from anywhere. He is eternal. He has always existed and therefore never needed to be created.Originally posted by Hunter MetzgerThe2nd View PostIf something can't come from nothing than where did God come from and how could God possibly create everything?
Ps 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
God could create everything because He is omnipotent.
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
It is a valid answer because the Bible proves itself correct. We know that the Bible is God's Word (2 Tim 3:16) and that God's Word is truth (Jn 17:17b). It follows, then, that if the Bible is true, it would have told us if it wasn't true. Also, "the bible said so" is not a valid answer because you can't prove that your Bible is correct.

You baptists claim that god is real because something can't come from nothingOriginally posted by Pim Pendergast View PostAtheism is the belief that everything came from nothing. That's what it boils down to. That's what you have to accept if there is no Creator. We don't need to know anything about atheism in order to refute it; we only need to know God.
But let me ask you this
If something can't come from nothing than where did Come from and how could god possibly create everything.

The reason you don't "feel god" is because you are smart and logical enough to see that god is falseOriginally posted by Paladink View PostWell apparently i need to be bitchslapped by God.
I think somethings out there that started everything, but so far I've never "felt God". I would believe the bible and in your version of God if there weren't so many ways to prove it wrong and so little proof supporting it. I don't hate your religion or any religion, I'm just curious about your opinions of God. So what do you guys mean by "feeling God"?
If you claim to feel god you are either high or schizophrenic

This is a common misconception and a completely understandable one to make.
I don't believe something came from nothing, and I'm sure most atheists don't. I don't know what happened before the Big Bang, I don't know if we're a universe inside a universe, these questions are yet to answered in our accepted proven ways, there are hypothesis out there, some hold substance, some don't. But I just don't see the logic in filling this gap with a deity? It manages to explain all but prove nothing.
But an atheist doesn't even need to have heard about the Big Bang to rightly conclude their atheism. They solely need a lack of faith in a deity

With all due respect, theological philosophers have failed to provide any, in all the millennia of Christianity.
Atheism is not a faith in materialism, your looking too deep, it is merely the lack of faith in a deity, not the supernatural as a whole, just deities.
Atheism isn't based on facts, as no facts are needed to have a lack of faith.
Science is built on fact, and as is usually the case, atheists will use scientific fact to uphold their atheistic views, but they are not bound by science, or evolution or abiogenesis or anything else.

Hey MaryOriginally posted by Mary Etheldreda View PostMy beliefs are founded on the Gospel of Christ Crucified (1 Corinthians 1:23), whereas cathlics are not Christians.
Atheism is faith in materialism and the self as god. It takes more faith to be an atheist because it's based on no facts whatsoever, and requires nothing but faith. The Bible, on the other hand, has example after example of Truth and scientific fact that helps prove its claim.

Ha!
Certainly when God™ has a few spare minutes in his busy day, he spends it checking in with the Pastors and Male Elders....not some disbeliever squatting on a rug somewhere, chanting who-knows-what mumbo-jumbo.
