It's a non-stance. What does it mean? How does this assumption you've made affect your life? By not revealing those things, you've left nothing of substance there for anyone to discuss, let alone pass judgement. As soon as someone exposes an inconsistency or irrationality in your position, you'll be doing the "oh, but that's not what I really meant" dance, and you don't have the footwork to impress this crowd.

It's a whole lot more defensible than yours.

So you assume God exists. Why do you think God would be happy with you stopping there? Don't you think God wants something from us? Why else would He create us? Does He want sacrifices? If so, what kind? What about prayers? How should we pray? Does He care what you do with your johnson, or your friend's johnson? How do you know these things? What is your reference? If it's the Bible, then all your answers are laid out there, and it says that God wants whole heck of a lot more than just acknowledgement of His existence. If you disregard the Bible, what makes you think you know the mind of God better than the 2 BILLION Christians in the world today, or the billions of others throughout history?

Neither here nor there. A man without a commitment to God, who merely assumes there is one, is trying to straddle the fence.

It's basically covering your bases, you continue to live a sinful lifestyle while thinking that your assumption will keep you in His Good Graces.

I'm pretty sure that it won't even come close.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

James 2:10 - For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.
