Because they are, duh! Most of the time they are slowly walking around the field. As if they don't care about missing the bus home.

So when an American football player, runs for like 20 seconds and then he takes a break - in a game of american football more time is spent on breaks then gameplay - he is not lazy ?

You clearly never bothered to actually watch a soccer match. Most of the time players are dropping down pretending another player hit them to get penalties. They call it a Schwalbe/Diving/Simulation depending on how drunk they are. I believe the last time a player actually hit a ball during a soccer match was in 1987.

Every sunday im at the stadium supporting my team - i travel around denmark (and the world ) to support - So yes i have bothered to watch a football match - You cant find any sport where people dont act like they are hurt, i dont like people who do it all the time (Christiano Ronaldo) but most football players is not doing it all the time, and sometime it is needed, survival of the fittest every trick is allowed

It has everything to do with it. People don't pretend like they are hurt in the NFL. If ANYTHING, they pretend like they are OK even when they have broken bones.
