That is an outrageous lie.

We have True Christianity in spite of the efforts of the Catholic Church to wipe us out. Baptists have been around longer than Catholics.

In the year 100, all Christians were Baptists. John the Baptist was the first Baptist Pastor. Catholicism didn't get its start until centuries later, when Constantine took pure paganism, slapped a thin veneer of Christian-like ideas on top of it, and made that abomination the state church of the Roman Empire.

We have a true Bible based on the original texts. The Catholics have a false Bible based on the twisted Alexandrian Manuscripts.

Did you not just see what I said? True Christians™, with the help of King James and his army who weren't about to let the papists (who were at that point not nearly as powerful as they were outside of England) destroy this greatest of works, kept the Bible alive for the nine years between its writing and the founding of our Church.

Since you refer to writing, you must mean the period after the advent of a written language. So...what "Germanic peoples" do you refer to specifically and in what language did these 'ancient monks write? For that matter, where did all of this take place? I expect you to say Latin but, if you do, you will have to explain a bit of Germanic, Roman, Celtic and Gothic history to me.

There is no such thing as keeping your opinions to yourself. God always knows what you're thinking, and He considers mental sins to be just as serious as physical sins! "Thou shalt not covet" is as much a commandment as "Thou shalt not kill" or "Thou shalt not commit adultery", and speaking of adultery, Jesus Himself said, "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." (Matthew 5:27,28)
Those are just examples. It just shows that keeping your opinions to "yourself" isn't going to spare you from the eternal fires of Hell. Pray for forgiveness, and ask Jesus to come into your heart before it's too late.

Yes, I have heard that said before too. Even the Pennycostals tell you that God knows what you're thinking. But my inner thoughts would be between God and myself; not other people. There is no sense in fighting with your fellow man here on earth over a difference of opinions when one can just as easily walk away and allow the other brother to say what he wants to say. Why bother? Life is too short to be arguing over different opinions of what is right or wrong in life, (and in death). Everybody has a difference of opinions. You mean to tell me that you believe EVERY LITTLE THING that Brother Temperance or Pastor Zeke says as the truth? Do you ever have a difference of opinion when the other ministers say something on this message board? You agree with everything they say? You may...or you may not. If you don't, and then you ignore them and allow them to say what they wish without saying anything back to them, well then you are no different than I (on that part). I am just allowing others to speak freely about their beliefs, without going off and giving them an ear bashing over differences of opinion.

When it comes to matters of faith, I believe everything they say and they believe everything I say, because we all believe everything that GOD says. We all read, understand, and believe the Bible. We believe it is the literal and inerrant Word of God. What would we have to disagree on? Nothing, that's what.

We might disagree on trivial stuff, such as favorite foods or sports teams, but there is no disagreement on important spiritual matters.

Just to prove how tolerant we are of differing opinions, I am going to disagree with what Pastor Billy just said. There have been times when someone might forget an exact passage in Scripture and misquote it....and another Pastor will immediately step in to correct the mistake. We don't get upset about that. Even if I am SURE I am quoting correctly, sometimes I am not. So I am completely tolerant whenever there is a disagreement and I accept criticism with an open and loving heart, even if the person disagreeing with me is a filthy heathen darkie homer catlick who deserves to be burned at the stake.

You see, Miss, we are human, and thus fallible. Only JESUS and the scribes to whom GOD dictated the KJB1611 (Authorized) Bible are infallible.

You mean to tell me that you believe EVERY LITTLE THING that Brother Temperance or Pastor Zeke says as the truth? Do you ever have a difference of opinion when the other ministers say something on this message board? You agree with everything they say?

Of course I believe everything they say, as they are backed up by the most trustworthy of sources, the Bible! Not only that, but they are more learned than I, and they are both men (as are all real pastors) and I am just a woman. Until I married and my husband, Mr. Whitford, took over my biblical education, it was the True Christian(tm) men of this forum who took me under their wing. Those in Freehold were able to teach me in person, others who are doing missionary work in God-forsaken countries like England helping me through e-mails and such.

England is the place where that Homer King James was ordered by GOD to create a Bible accessible to everyone and start a Church named Landover Baptist. So we were given the first copies of GOD'S WORD and sent off to America to kill the injuns who had pre-stolen the future home of JESUS. I imagine that if there had been anything worth saving in Scotland, we would have been dispatched there as well, but even the current king of Scotland, one of those teenage English princes, doesn't bother to go there. End of story.
