The original post in this thread was a direct question TO Atheists, a group of people whom I happen to be a member of. So I am not only explaining
why I believe what I do, I also am explaining partially what gives my life purpose. I believe that this quote from Marcus Aurelius puts it much more succinctly.

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

Denying the existence of God is not unbelief but an exercise in self-deception. You may know things, but you cannot account for anything you know. Arguing against God's existence would be on par with arguing against the existence of air, breathing it all the while. You use the universal, immaterial, unchanging laws of logic, mathematics, science, and absolute morality in order to come to rational decisions, but you cannot account for them. These laws are not the only way God has revealed himself to you, but they are sufficient to show the irrationality of your thinking, and expose your guilt for denying Him.

There is a reason that you deny the existence of God and it has nothing to do with proof. I can show this to you. Do you think that you can continue to deny God because surely somewhere, sometime, a philosopher or scientist will come up with an explanation for universal, immaterial, unchanging laws apart from God?' Did you ever try to come up with an alternate explanation on your own?

Hoping that an alternate explanation for universal, immaterial, unchanging laws can someday be found apart from God, is a blind leap of faith, or wishful thinking. Isn't it interesting that this is exactly what professed unbelievers accuse Christians of?

Please examine the real reason why you are running from God. It is my prayer that God will open your eyes and change your heart so that you may be saved from your sin, embraced by His ferocious love, and that you will tithe robustly immediately using the Paypal button at the bottom of this page.

Atheists are never willing to let facts get in the way of a "really good quote".

Just because Marcus Aurelius was a Pagan Roman Emperor, devoted to worship of his pagan "gods" (as anyone even casually reading his Meditations would observe), and just because that quote is nowhere to be found in any of his extant writings, and just because it was first misattributed to him in 2009, doesn't mean he didn't say it at some point, according to the atheist who wants it to be true.

Obviously they are all not directly sent to hell(as they deserve) because God is merciful and keeps giving them time to repent,time which some choose to then waste on being ignorant atheists.The only purpose to their lives is to repent and accept the Lord into their hearts,the fact that some don't merely damns then to the deeper depths of hell.

Interesting. Hitler was a believer in god. All Nazi soldiers or storm troopers as you like to call them swore an oath to god and indeed the slogan Gott mit uns "god with us" was inscribed on their belts.

The believer does not have anymore purpose in life than the non believer. Humans are gene machines and their only purpose is ensuring the survival of the genes that they contain. An atheist may find purpose in educating others, helping others through science and medicine and is probably happier because they are freed from the worry of going to hell because they know that it doesn't exist. To live without fear is much more satisfying than living in fear of an imaginary friend and spouting hatred against those who think differently from you.

Human being are disposed to infer agency and I see no difference in you inferring agency in genes to them inferring agency is reality as a whole (a god).

Don't be ridiculous. Hitler and most of the Nazies were catlicks, that obviously makes them heathens. Hitler sure did many good things for Germany, but he wasn't a Christian and is burning in hell for that. Unless he did a death bed conversion to Christianity before communist murdered him. If he did, then he is obviously in heaven.
