I think you people miss the point a little... It's not Pokemon that's evil, it's the blatant commersialism. Pokemon is not a cult or witchcraft neither is Harry Potter or any book, movie or game, theyre simply entertaiment. Way back in the oldendays the entertaiment was executions, fights and whoring... I think the current entertaiment is better, at least no-one gets hurt.

People don't believe in god any more 'cause the teachings of the church ara furter removed from their daily lifes and less relevant to their daily lifes. That happens in couple of thousand years, deal with it. Christians are a dying breed and there's not much you can do about it. These days people don't want to blindly believe in things, thay want some proof. And no matter how much you try, you can't PROOF the existance of god.

Plus, I must say that the anti asian hate slogans some of you are writing here are distastefull to say the least. Plus Pokemon is from Japan not China (to the guy who was saying that USA should have bombed the "chincs" more than with "just" two atombombs, a sentence with so manty flaws that I wont bother correcting them [possible porn link deleted] ). Rasism should NEVEr be tolerated and is evil if something is. Promote tolerance and love, not hate and intolerance. I'm not out disproof god, I'm just saying you can't proof or disproof his existance. A verse from bible, a book writen by men, is not a proof of his existence. I personaly was raised in an atheist home, but got curious about christianity and other religions when I was 14. At 15 I got babtised per my own request and went to church camp. I had a really good time an the minister was really nice an intelligent and open my eyes to the possibility of the exitence of god. Later I realised that I don't believe in the teachings of any religion and that I believe that if there is a god he's something beyond our understanding.

The epilepsies experienced by children were only in Japan, so is it that bad that Japanese childdren suffer epilepsies, also dragons are real (Job 30:29, Isaiah 13:22) and there are no demon type pokemon. As for the "special powers" most of the pokemon need to get their powers from somewher example the leafs that grass pokemon use are from the sun growing the plants on their backs, water moves are from sucking in water and then spewing it out

The episode of Pokemon to which you are referring to is "Electric Soldier Porygon". The moment in the episode that sent many children to the hospital is the scene in which one of the pokemon uses an electric attack against a foe. There were many red and blue flashing lights. To this day, the animators have had to be careful with the lighting they use in the show. The incident caused any new episodes to be postponed until five months later. As for the pokemon franchise being "pro-darwin" or promoting witchcraft. No such thing has been confirmed by Nintendo or Game Freak- the companies in charge of the franchise. Thus, I have no comment on those two points.
