English Queen visits her Irish Subjects? Which cult is worse?

Well, QE Mark II of the United Kingdom of England

today started her official visit to the Province of Ireland, apparently the first by an English Monarch since Oliver Cromwell's Official State Visit.

So what? Well, my question is ....why exactly?

Is she trying convert the papists to her own particularly narcissistic persona cult?

Or is there something more sinister?

Still - a lost opportunity for some ecumenical gratuitous violence, at which both nations excel.

Taughts? I mean tawts? I mean thoughts?

There is not much doubt that the Catholics are the very worst. Worshiping graven images of mary, led by the Whore of Babylon and eating Jesus and drinking His Blood ranks pretty high as blasphemies. Not to mention selling indulgences and the bones of the dead.

The Anglican'ts are a category unto themselves, wishy-washy, fluffy-bunny, lieberals whose path to Hell is paved with good intentions.

It is of universal regret that the puritan and excellent Mr Cromwell did not settle the matter more firmly as God took care of the Midianites, for was it not Jesus who said, "Peace is proportional to the number of enemy killed."?

The potato famine was ordained by God to punish the Irish; I believe no Protestants or English died in the episode. Unfortunately, this miracle encouraged the Micks to make their way to America and pollute the purity of Baptism. I suspect that this was God's revenge on allowing the pagan redskin to remain on the holy soil of the USA.

On balance, Queen Liz is probably the lesser of two evils.

You're probably right, especially regarding blasphemy against doctrine - she does not claim inphallibility (not having a phallus, obviously), nor do Anglicans delve into the mumbo jumbo of the Cathlick eucharist or Bead rattling, so all in all, even their liberal fluffiness can be considered the lesser of 2 evils.

Except for the gay marriage crap, of course.

      Nice points Brother Bathfire.

I would normally only quote from the KJV1611 but I will make an exception. The most accurate quote about the potato famine was from Radio Norfolk's Alan Partridge.

"Right. I mean, if it was just the potatoes that were affected, at the end of the day, you will pay the price if you’re a fussy eater. If they could afford to emigrate then they could afford to eat in a modest restaurant."

I see her as a harmless mid-western housewife quite happy to take the dogs for a walk and agree to everything her husband (the President of England, Mr Camering) says she should do.

Mr Bush knew how to deal with her
and, being a woman she presented no real resistance other than to pander to her Canadian subjects who can receive US TV.

Republic of Ireland: 0,8% muslims. 32% of the population go to church at least once a week.
The UK: 5% muslims. About 10% of the population is non-white. 7% practicing Christians. More than 30% of the population are confirmed atheists.

I am not surprised if the queen asks for political asylum in Ireland and then moves Buckingham Palace to Dublin. God save the Queen!

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:..."

Isn't Ireland bankrupt? I heard they spent $40 million in security for the event. This is even dumb for the Micks!

Yes, but in real (American) money that's only about $175.
