Well, greeting from Belgium. I'm a proud atheist, the only thing I believe in is science. It has guided me, healed me and brings me the joy in life.

As for your question: "Are Athiestics stupid?". Did God write a magical fairy book? I believe not. No, dear ladies and gentlemen, we are not stupid. In fact, the question in itself holds a paradox, does it not? Up to you to discover it.

Also, I believe christianity (I use no capital for a reason, mind you) preaches respect to all, if I'm not mistaking? Why do you show no respect at all in these forums? It is the same in all religions: the islam condemns on freely-spirited women, and I see this forum condemning atheists.. This makes it increasingly difficult for me to keep showing respect to people who follow a certain religion (my weakness).

So again, do you people really think everyone who does not share a certain (your) belief are stupid? Just because we do not think we should live by a book written by aristocrats in the 6th century A.D.?

I will conclude by saying I'm 21 years old, I have two degrees and am currently attending a college of a quality in education that America could not remotely dream of. So am I stupid? Again: did God write a magical fairy-book? Nope. Just saying something IS does not make it true. Empirical proof is to be believed, not some scribblings.

Also, banning people, which I am sure will follow shortly, does not make you right: it denies all ability to reason from person to person. If you think I'm wrong I would like to see reasoning, not the typical 'oh boy you really are stupid'. Tell my WHY, prove it to me that I'm stupid, make me FEEL that I'm stupid.

I don't as much think athiests a stupid it is just they are bland to what science can reveal.

I'm a Christian because the empirical evidence supports an Intelligent Designer. If something displays Irreducible Complexity it must have been disingenuous by God.

I'm interested how you have you have two degrees under your belt at the tender age of 21.

I have tow degrees, Midwifery and Statistics, and and Msc in Statistics. The two degrees took six years.

The reason you think it is wrong is because the Bible says so - you know that 'magical fairy book' - it defines human standards of behaviour that are written nowhere else and before anyone else wrote them. If everyone was an atheist then human moral standards would disappear down the drain.

I do not believe in any "Doo lally" Mr. Niles. That right is reserved for people who believe in a "God's Plan" while overtly claiming that something such as rape... isn't part of it. You see, for any perfect master plan to take place, everything must be planned out.
