It is an earth based religion and it does not control people. There are a lot of loving and nice people in this religion and they are acceptable of all faiths. Most of us are highly intelligent.

Pastor Marshall is there above telling you how it is. I'll just point out that it does control people because there is a hierarchy. You are taught things at various levels, you have to obey to reach the next level.

There are nice people in all religions (except catlix) but that is no reason to adopt a philosophy. If you think of the nice people who are not Wiccans, you will see that being nice is not related directly to Wicca.

You say you are intelligent but does an intelligent person believe that these ceremonies will change anything?

Let me put it to you this way. As you say, it is an earth based religion. A religion based on earthly things. There is nothing more earthly than sins of the flesh. So wicca, by its own definition, is indeed a sex cult.

Well, Miss Spit, I fail to see the "intelligence" in your posts. So, I can only assume that you are not among the majority.

You never really answered Brother Bathfire's question -- Why Wicca? Why not some other cult with friendly people, like Mormonism or Scientology or Buddhism? -- and you also never answered mine. So, I'll ask it again.

Seeing that you're in Quarantine, you'll have ample time to consider it.

You intimated (er, that is, suggested or implied) earlier that Wicca was a religion you chose for yourself because it suited you. This, to me, is like picking out a blouse that looks good; in your case, religion is something you wear, not something you ARE.

So, I am curious. Since you do not actually believe in the gods/goddesses you "worship", would it not make more sense for you to explore secular humanism (www.secularhumanism.org) or maybe join The Blights (www.the-brights.net)? They all seem like nice enough folks, and they're all as surely going to Hell as you are, but they don't waste their time pretending to believe in fairies and dancing naked in the woods and having wild orgies.

To answer your question, it depends on the type of magick, the specifications of the ritual, and what you are trying to accomplish. Sex magick obviously requires nakedness and for Chaos magick clothing is optional but I find I get better results naked. Clothing is preferable for most other types of magick.

When performing a ritual that opens a gate and brings one before the Gods, there are normally very specific requirements for what one must wear, fabrick type, color, robe length, accessories, etc.
