1. Creation/Nature.

It is scientifically impossible for Nature to have made itself, or for it to be eternal.

Consider the following two scientific facts:

• Natural selection can only act upon the genetic potential that already exists. What we do observe from natural selection fits perfectly with a recent creation, and does not point to common descent.

• Any test designed to confirm Darwinism has an alternate and equally viable explanation. A theory requires that the confirming experiments correspond to one specific hypothesis. Otherwise, the experiment cannot establish legitimacy. Evolution has no such legitimacy.

What does the Bible say?

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them;
for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,

2. Conscience.

Conscience is God-given. Although it is shaped by family and society, it is a gift from God to know right from wrong so we have no excuse on Judgment Day.

Consider the evolutionist perspective:

• Human beings are merely the inevitable result of the laws of physics and chemistry acting over time.

• The actions any person makes is simply the deterministic outworking of electrochemical reactions in a brain—which is itself allegedly the mindless outworking of billions of random chance copying errors in our DNA.

• Physical properties require no punishment for inconvenience (after all, we do not attempt to punish the baking soda for reacting with vinegar, even if it does make a mess on our kitchen floor because someone didn't clean up after his homeschool volcano experiment).

• Mankind, therefore, is no more than a complex set of chemical reactions (which explains why abortion is understood to be as convenient and beneficial as getting rid of chlamydia).

This begs the question, though: If we are simply evolved animals, why should we hold to any code of conduct? After all, what one animal does to another is morally irrelevant.

What does the Bible say?

The Bible claims to be the revealed Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21) and that the biblical God is the ultimate authority and foundation for knowledge (Hebrews 6:13; Proverbs 1:7, 2:6; Colossians 2:3). This knowledge is good for mankind, not only for peace on earth (Acts 10:36), but for the good of the individual soul for all eternity (Revelation 3:5). Furthermore, in the same way an artist writes his name on his masterpiece, the LORD has written His moral code on our hearts to bear witness to His goodness.

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law,
these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness,
and [their] thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)

3. Commandments.

The Ten Commandments awaken us to His standard, so that we can see our terrible danger.

Consider what New Atheist High Priest Sam Harris says about moral culpability and free will:

1. A four-year-old boy was playing with his father’s gun and killed a young woman. The gun had been kept loaded and unsecured in a dresser drawer.
2. A twelve-year-old boy, who had been the victim of continuous physical and emotional abuse, took his father's gun and intentionally shot and killed a young woman because she was teasing him.
3. A twenty-five-year-old man, who had been the victim of continuous abuse as a child, intentionally shot and killed his girlfriend because she left him for another man.
4. A twenty-five-year-old man, who had been raised by wonderful parents and never abused, intentionally shot and killed a young woman he had never met “just for the fun of it.”
5. A twenty-five-year-old man, who had been raised by wonderful parents and never abused, intentionally shot and killed a young woman he had never met “just for the fun of it.” An MRI of the man’s brain revealed a tumor the size of a golf ball in his medial prefrontal cortex (a region responsible for the control of emotion and behavioral impulses).

…The degree of moral outrage we feel clearly depends on the background conditions described in each case. We suspect that a four-year-old child cannot truly intend to kill someone and that the intentions of a twelve-year-old do not run as deep as those of an adult. In both cases 1 and 2, we know that the brain of the killer has not fully matured and that all the responsibilities of personhood have not yet been conferred. The history of abuse and precipitating cause in example 3 seem to mitigate the man’s guilt: this was a crime of passion committed by a person who had himself suffered at the hands of others. In 4, we have no abuse, and the motive brands the perpetrator a psychopath. In 5, we appear to have the same psychopathic behavior and motive, but a brain tumor somehow changes the moral calculus entirely: given its location, it seems to divest the killer of all responsibility. How can we make sense of these gradations of moral blame when brains and their background influences are, in every case, and to exactly the same degree, the real cause of a woman’s death?

It seems to me that we need not have any illusions about a casual agent living within the human mind to condemn such a mind as unethical, negligent, or even evil, and therefore liable to occasion further harm. What we condemn in another person is the intention to do harm—and thus any condition or circumstance (e.g., accident, mental illness, youth) that makes it unlikely that a person could harbor such an intention would mitigate guilt, without any recourse to notions of free will.

In other words, a man's behavior may be no more "wrong" for murder, or any sin, than the planet Venus is "wrong" for spinning backwards. If society determines right from wrong and not God, then at what point will we live in a society that determines stealing from one's neighbor is never wrong, or that adultery is always a moral option? We already have convinced ourselves as a society that sodomy is morally acceptable, if not worthy of celebration.

What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law:
for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence.
For without the law sin [was] dead.
For I was alive without the law once:
but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
And the commandment, which [was ordained] to life,
I found [to be] unto death.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment,
deceived me, and by it slew [me].
Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy,
and just, and good.
Was then that which is good made death unto me?
God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good;
that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

4. Conversion.

God proves His reality by manifesting Himself through the new birth.

Consider the atheist argument:

• Everything that exists, exists in the Natural World. There is no SuperNatural anything.

• Every argument must be rational and logical

This is inconsistent with itself. There is no material that makes up the "rational" or "logical." These concepts are abstract, universal, invariant entities. In other words, they are not made of matter. They are not material. Laws of logic are contingent upon God’s unchanging nature. And they are necessary for logical reasoning. Thus, rational reasoning would be impossible without God, and the Holy Bible through which He reveals Himself to us perfectly and consistently, regardless of gender, culture, language, or time.

The materialistic atheist can’t have laws of logic. He believes that everything that exists is material—part of the physical world. But laws of logic are not physical. You can’t stub your toe on a law of logic. Laws of logic cannot exist in the atheist’s world, yet he uses them to try to reason. This is inconsistent. He is borrowing from the Christian worldview to argue against the Christian worldview. The atheist’s view cannot be rational because he uses things (laws of logic) that cannot exist according to his religion.

The True Christian™, however, knows that in faith and obedience, a New Creature is born (2 Corinthians 5:17). This New Creature reveals the Living Christ in us. There is no need for a material explanation for that which faith alone can explain.

Atheists say moral is passed from parent to child (they do not know they have no moral), but the Lord gives moral and children are sinners (Psalms 51: 5) so it would seem so and in some ways they are right, for if a True Christian parent fufils their duty and teaches their child about God, then they are giving moral to the child and the child will never depart from the right way (Proverbs 22: 6).

But then that raises the question, where did moral come from? Of course it was from the Lord, that is wisdom that no atheist can have proving that fearing the Lord is the first step to wisdom (Proverbs 1: 7).

Amazing how God is so mighty and so just that even a feeble minded woman can figure it all out.
