Even if the Bible states that the rapist must pay a fine and marry his victim, why follow the instructions of a book? The girl is not property to be given to her attacker. She has her own mind and should be able to terminate her unborn child if she wishes. You cannot tell her what to do unless you have personally undergone such trauma. Which, I am assuming, most of you supporting the rapist have not.


How can you rely on a book to advise and guide you in everyday life? The bible is horribly out-dated, if it was ever relevant.

How can you all sit here and preach about gods plan and gods word when the book you quote it from was edited by MEN, albeit kings and popes, however they are still men. and just for those of you who will dispute that fact.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was a sick joke, but I now I can see that it’s worse. You’re being fucking serious.

You people sicken me. How can you possibly say the man is not to blame? You’re acting like a child who refuses to take responsibility for their actions.

Hypothetically, lets say the girl was ‘asking for it’ by wearing revealing clothes, the only person who made the man go up to her and physically rape her was the man himself. HE is to blame.

Another hypothetical situation I have for you. Let’s say that your married daughter walks the streets alone one night and immorally allows herself to be raped by an unfortunate man who was overcome with lust by her sinfully tempting ways, and she falls pregnant. I believe that the bible says that both your daughter and the victim (rapist) should be stoned to death. However, I believe the bible also says jesus will damn all murderers? So, ignoring law, and listening to the bible, what should you do to appease your spiteful god?

Also, if the bible is still as relevant as it was when it was written, then why do school textbooks need revising every few years to keep them up to date? Think about this. If the word of bible dating back thousands of years is so great, why does it contradict law? Is the law wrong? Why isn’t the legal system based on the bible?

More importantly, we should address the root of the problem. Can someone please give me a logical as to why we should follow the bible? Yes, yes, ‘it is the word of god’, but since there is no proof of god’s existence, and logic weighs in the favour of the lack of his existence, there must be a better reason for it if anyone in their right mind is to devote their life to it.

Interesting to note the lack of women advocating this trash... What’s your explanation for that? Are they too stupid to use a computer? That would be odd, because all the women I know can use computers. Maybe it's just fundamentalist christian women who allow themselves to be treated as property (and get raped).

P.S. Don’t bother telling me how I’m going to Hell. To me it is illogical to lead a misguided and unfulfilled life on Earth (proven to exist) for a chance to go to Heaven (very unlikely to exist).
