This thread is about selling one's raped daughter as a wife (to the man whom she caused to rape her), not selling her as a slave.

In the case of rape, however, daughters may NEVER DIVORCE the husband and although that is similar to the condition that if she were sold as a slave then she MUST NEVER BE SET FREE marriage and slavery are not the same thing.

God's law tells us that a rapist must marry the woman he rapes and can never divorce her. This is punishment for him as he has to put up with the woman that tempted him into the sin of rape for life and what's best for her as she is no longer a virgin and thus unsuitable for marriage to anybody else.
