1. There is nothing wrong with masturbating. Almost every single boy does it around the age of 12. Studies show it is a good way to relieve sexual tensions and relax.

My thoughts on that book is that it's what destroyed child rearing. Children were being raised to be productive members of society until these idiot "behaviorists" came along and told everyone that kids are blank slates that you just need to put the right information into.

They don't get baptized until they're old enough to understand the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. Where in the Bible does it mention infant baptism? That was something invented by the catholics to make parents who lost their babies feel better. Oh and of course to make more money.

The youngest that any of my children was baptized was at the age of 8, but Matthew is a very thoughtful boy who has always been studious and remarkably understanding of things. His older brother had to have the fear of God put into him before he fully understood the importance of baptism. I'm fearing that I'll have to have the pastors put the fear in son #3 and the girls are way too young.

I didn't read through the whole thread, so I don't know if this has been suggested yet. When I was a youngster, the demon known as "morning wood" often reared its ugly head. When one wakes in the morning to find one's loins swollen and turgid, its an open door for self-abuse. Thats why I force my sons to sleep on their bellies. If they happen to arise with engorged peni, the battle against the forces of masturbation is already half won. All they need to do is firmly press the offending member against the mattress (or fluffy pillow) until the urge has passed.

Most of us know the story of the Jewish man who was left for dead on the side of the road. Two Jews passed him by one was even a Levite priest, but a Samaritan (an unclean low person {John 4:9} who didn't believe in Judaism the same way the regular Jews did.) stopped to save him. Jesus ends the parable by asking this question in Luke 10:36-37

36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise

Our answer is clear. Only one of the three people was Jesus' neighbor.

We are to love our neighbors as ourselves, but our neighbors are only those who display Christian love and kindness. The people who won't help the ministry of Christ are beyond our help and they will be cast into the fire.

I asked that very question a few weeks ago, when I discovered my son treating his body like a cheap carnival ride. I lit up his back side so hard I broke my hand!
Brother James Hutchins offered this solution and it worked like a charm. Cook a big polish or kielbasa sausage in oil, when it is extremely hot remove it from the grease and have your son grab it tightly in his hands, remind him that God hates people who masturbate.
