Should we obey God if his command to us is to kill our own children? Of course we should.
Genesis 22:1-18
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. 7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. 9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
Just as Abraham had to make a choice we also have to make one if God feels like testing our faith, and just as Abraham choosed to obey God in Genesis we should of course accept God's wishes no matter what they might be. He always have a good reason, we can be sure of that.
Nobody say that it's easy to follow every word of God, but that doesn't make it okay to ignore his commands. We must obey him unconditionally.
It's really all about making the right priority here; on one side you love your children and would hate to see them in pain, but by refusing to sacrifice them, even if God told you to kill them, you hate God, and if you hate God you also hate everything God has created, including your own children.
So in a situtation like the one Abraham was in, you really only have one way to show your love to your kids, and that is to slay them.
Do you obey the Lord when you are told to do the seemingly impossible? Or do you give excuses why you can’t obey the Lord’s command?
If not, you will burn in HELL for eternity!
2 Thessalonians 1:5-9
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
