@Brother Helge - I discipline my children well enough without your help or advice. I believe in corporal punishment as much as anyone else but I also try other methods first. Sounds a lot like your inquiring about abuse and that is not my flavor of parenting. I honestly feel sorry for any child raised under a parent that would beat their children before trying other methods.

Now just hold on one mintue Harry! Did you ever consider that perhaps your list of 'parenting tricks' is out of order? God made everything and everyone. He gave us a terrific manual for living, it is called the Bible. No where in it does it say to coddle a child. So perhaps if you'd follow the defacto authority on the subject of child rearing, that may you would not have retarded kids? I beat my kids exactly as God commands and I assure you, once they get to age five, not a single one EVER steps out of line. In the Hutchins house, a 'time out' is 30 licks behind the tool shed and a night sleeping in the barn.

I'm a pretty lazy person, and I've even used this as an excuse to be able to skip school; it's a terrible excuse, but I'm too lazy to come up with something more convincing... actually, it's not even an excuse. Still skip school, though.

As you're no doubt aware, there are now plenty of jobs available for mongos like yourself. In fact, you'll be pretty much required to take one in order to receive welfare benefits!

Since fall 2008, Waddell's been employed at St. John's Mercy Medical Center distribution services, where she labels supplies, unloads trucks and is working up to handling receptionist duties.


Libby Waddell got a job at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in 2008. St. John's and Life Skills, a local organization that helps developmentally disabled adults, worked together to create a position for Waddell.


"I love my job," Waddell said.

To create a perfect-fit position for Waddell, who has Down syndrome, St. John's worked with Life Skills, one of a half-dozen local agencies that serve developmentally disabled and other special-needs adults.

Unfortunately, that means taking jobs from people able to do them, and "creating perfect-fit positions" for mongos.
