Jesus will fix my Pa’s flat tire.

Currently me and my Pa are on the side of the highway with a flat tire and no AAA. My Pa is currently visibly upset but I reassured him that Jesus will come save us and fix the tire. I have no doubt the power of prayer and believe in the power of Jesus. I recited Acts 4:30 to my upset Pa and he immediately went silent just staring ahead of him with a deep sigh (not in frustration I’m sure). By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

My experience is that Jesus says "Yes", "No" or "Wait."

    Are you still waiting?

Maxine, dear, I don't wish to be discouraging, but I wonder if Our Lord has the time to deal with such petty matters? Regardless of that, it seems unlikely that He has the inclination to rescue people (people who are not even True Christians™ at that!) from the consequences of their own folly.

I can only refer you to something I wrote on another thread, about a month ago.

I know people in your area that have AAA, but I just can't bring myself to ask them to use it on non True Christians(TM). I will pray for you. If the Lord has time and the inkling, perhaps he will help you change it while your Pa rests from the stress.

I have been praying non-stop. My neighbor passed by and offered to help out. I told him to not even bother talking to my Pa in the truck because I have unwavering faith in the Lord to come help. My faith in Jesus is unshakable. I will continue posting updates. I sure hope my Pa isn’t too upset that i turned away our neighbor for Jesus.

Re: Jesus will fix my Pa’s flat tire.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of your problem, dear Sister Maxine. I do hope that you and your darling Pa are safe and sound, wherever you are. I have no doubt that our blessed will hear and answer your prayers very soon, though.

Psalm 91:11 "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

However, we must remember that does not always answer exactly when we call upon Holy Name. You see, He has many, many peope praying to -- all at the same time. And as Brother Bathfire has so kindly noted, " ... Jesus says "Yes", "No" or "Wait."

Now, of course your situation is very important; Heavens, yes! But I have a feeling that the prayers for our -sent President Trump are what the is answering at this time.

A blessed evening to you as you wait, dear Sister Maxine and "Pa",
            Sincerely, Isabella W.
P.S. Next time, before you head out on a motor-trip, might I recommend packing a nice picnic basket with some fried chicken and potato salad, just to tide you through any unfortunate delays?

Re: Jesus will fix my Pa’s flat tire.

We’ve been waiting for three hours. My Pa finally found his cell phone and was about to call the local police department for towing help. I grabbed it from him and explained that he just needs to pray to Jesus with me and his tire will be fixed. I explained to Pa that the money he could use for the tow should instead be tithed to church tomorrow. He rolled his eyes at me and is outside stomping around right now. I know he means no disrespect and is just sad about his car. That has to be it. But faith in Jesus will lead him to the path of righteousness. When he comes down to fix the tire, it’ll prove to him how wrong it is to try to fix things in a hurry and that all we need to do is toil for Jesus and he shall reward that loyalty, however that may be. For reference Miss White, we had Chik Fil A which is the reason we went out in the first place. It was my idea.

Oh, dear Sister Maxine: Now, normally, I would have suggested making your own fried chicken, as this is something that young ladies such as yourself should know how to do, so that you will prepared to please your future husband at meal-times. But, I do understand that it can be quicker just to hop in the car and get to a restaurant, rather than standing over the fryer at home. And, who doesn't like the fellowship of other virtuous, decent, wholesome believers when dining out?

A blessed evening to you, Dear Sister Maxine,

Everything happens for a good Reason (God's Will) and we should not question it.

You need to sit tight and wait. Pray.

To beg for help is not the Christian way. He will provide if you are worthy.

We are currently almost at the 6 hour mark. I am most assured that Jesus is listening to my prayers and will come help when he isn’t busy. I ask you, what can’t be solved by prayer for Christians? I will continue waiting. My Pa appears to have walked off for the past two hours and has yet to return. Hopefully he is okay. I don’t want him to miss Jesus’s miracle when he comes to fix this flat tire. Will continue to update you all when something new happens. I will continue to wait patiently with excitement. The sun has set now but my faith is still shining brightly for Jesus.

Still waiting yes. My Pa appears to have not come back yet. Not sure what’s up with him but that’s not my concern. I am still waiting here with my hands clasped together with frequent prayer and a big smile on my face. I am unwavering and will wait however long I need to so that Jesus will change the tire. Anyone remember the song “Jesus take the wheel”? Pretty sure this is what the song is referring to. I don’t want to ramble on too much though. At least I have my phone charger plugged in so I can update all of you.

Thank you for the words of encouragement Sister White and Sister Dana!

Now, I am sure that this is a very trying time for you, especially with your Pa out and about. He's likely just gone to seek help, so you needn't worry about him. Since I am a True Christian(TM) and you aren't, the Lord Jesus asked me to pass on this message. Hopefully you haven't fallen asleep as His angels have kept charge over you. And they've been there all this time. Here's the message:

Tell her to get on the phone and call Pete at Pete's Towing and Bait Shop. Explain that it's a prepaid tow and tire job (I assume Jesus paid it all) and that you'll be waiting patiently with thanksgiving on your breath. On the way, stop by Aunt Jezebel's to get your dad. You know, the woman that isn't really your Aunt but you've always called her that?

                              And you're welcome.
